Great location and very helpful staff. We had 1 adult and 2 children, one room, a bit tight but we made it work. Breakfast was a nice selection of foods and room service was also good. Hotel was also quite clean. Very responsive and helpful staff.

We stayed for 10 days and had an excellent experience. All of the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming but both Amr and Hazem went out of their way to help us! The location was perfect. We were able to walk to Tahrir Square and to the Opera metro station. It was easy to get Uber and for tours to pick us off and drop us off. We also enjoyed the breakfast and ate at the various restaurants. It was nice to sit up on the rooftop and enjoy the breeze and the views. Also, they provide bottled water but the hotel tap water is filtered and ok to drink!

The morning breakfast was good and sufficient. The rooms are spacious and the bedding is comfortable. I would recommend to replace the towels as they seem very used and extremely rough. Some updating and deep clean of the rugs and bathroom grout is needed.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Cairo El Borg. The location is fantastic, especially if you enjoy beautiful views of the Nile and the Corniche. Waking up to the Nile view was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a very good variety of options and something to suit different tastes. Everything was well presented and made for a great start to the day. I’d also like to give special thanks to the management and staff for their kindness and hospitality. They were very accommodating and kindly allowed us to check in early, which was greatly appreciated after our journey. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable experience and would be happy to stay at Novotel Cairo El Borg again. Highly recommended for the lovely Nile views, good breakfast, and warm hospitality.

I was given a smoking room despite the fact that I had booked a non-smoking one at the start. The room had a closed door separating it from the next room, where the smoke (and perhaps not normal cigarettes) was unbelievable. I couldn't sleep. I asked for a change, but it didn't happen until the next day. It was taken seriously until I asked multiple times. Room service was poor, complementary items were not refreshed. When checking out, no one helped with the bags to the door or to the car. I am a sliver member, when I asked about late checkout, one receptionist told me 4pm but next day they changed their minds. I had to change plans.

I stayed at Novotel El Borg Hotel for nearly 6 nights, and unfortunately, I experienced several issues with housekeeping and privacy. The cleaning trolley remained in front of my room throughout the day, 24/7. Despite complaining about it, the issue was never resolved. The housekeeping staff frequently stood outside the rooms, chatting throughout the day, which compromised the privacy and comfort of guests. When I requested room cleaning, there was no proper response. It was evident that the hotel was understaffed, and the reception staff hardly seemed to care about addressing guest concerns. Furthermore, while I was inside Room 3013, a person from outside was standing outside my window and cleaning the glass, which was a serious violation of my privacy. Overall, the hotel appears to lack proper management, supervision, and control over its housekeeping operations. Despite being a well-known hotel, the level of service and guest privacy I experienced was extremely disappointing.

Upon arrival, we were upgraded from a city view room to a Nile view room. A nice and tasty treat was waiting for us in the room. The rooms were spacious and clean. Everything we needed was there. It was just a pity that the minibar in one of our rooms didn’t cool enough. The rooftop restaurant had a good selection of delicious dishes. There was something for everyone. Breakfast offered a very extensive selection of local and international dishes. Our 96-year-old father was pampered by the staff. The staff at the front desk, bar, restaurants, and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the city, the surrounding region and the pyramids.
