Mr. Amr El Hashmy , Front desk manager helped me immediately, he was very kind and helpful ,when I came with a problem to him. On my business trip I had no internet connection in my room and he immediately arranged a new room for me, checked that there was good internet connection and helped me to carry my things immediately to the room. This was very much appreciated by me, big friendlyness and initiative of Mr. Amr El Hashmy. I was in the hotel for one week business trip and will recommend it and also the staff, like Mr. El Hashmy. My wife and I usually stay in this hotel during our visits to Cairo. We always had a good experience with the rooms and the service . The hotel is undergoing extensive renovations, and we still prefer to stay at the Novotel 6 of October. This time we were offered one of the renovated rooms. And what a disappointment. The room lacked a lot : no closet, just open shelves of black iron frame and glass shelves, only 2 tiny drawers and a tiny oval night table for 2 separate beds. It was very difficult for us to feel comfortable in this new setup. Let alone the dark walls and futuristic led lights inside the room and outside , what made up for this disappointment was the extremely professional and pleasant attitude of the staff starting from the front desk Mr Aly El Swefy who helped with the reservation and tended to all our needs and the housekeeping of the 3rd floor especially Reda and Mohamed both excellent work and pleasent attitude akways quick to respond and provide what we asked for. Also Mr Ahmed el Dakrouri of the restaurant who always makes feel at home.The renovated room was unwelcoming and lacked comfort and privacy with all your belongings on display, but the staff we dealt with made it up for us with their warmth and professional attitude.
