The check process was done very fast and in orderly manner. As a group of 20 we had no qualms. I feel that information pertaining to meals was different from the version given at the reception and at the restaurant. House-keeping was wonderful. At check-out a number of our colleagues were found wanting regarding bills for bar drinks in the rooms. It would be proper if guests are told about this on check-in.

This hotel falls short in comparison with the local competition. It needs somebody to review and retrain all the staff in my opinion. Positives: The pool area is very nice and so is the pool itself. It is heated, which should be better publicised so that people know. The service staff in the restaurant try hard to please - Mr Ahmed is the star of the operation bed was comfortable Negatives The hotel needs a VERY DEEP CLEAN in every area (rooms, restaurant, public areas). The practices in terms of hygiene of the staff handling food need to be reviewed as a matter of urgency. The coffee served is absolutely undrinkable and not worthy of modern times. The staff sit among the guests and smoke in the bar area and other areas, which should be exclusive for guests. There is too much smoking in every area of the hotel. It was terrible and does not happen in other hotels in Cairo. Cigarette smoke travels through the aircondition system into the rooms. I stayed here before - this happens a lot. Where it comes from I do not know. Not enough female staff, very masculine atmosphere. Felt uncomfortable. Other issues with conference facilities and the food and beverage offered for our conference proceedings. I repeat - it is not normal to serve Nescafe these days. You must sort this out.
