Excellent stay at Sofitel Cairo. The hotel services were outstanding, and the room was very comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide variety of options and excellent quality. The location is beautiful, right on the banks of the Nile River, which gives the hotel a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The only point to consider is that, although the location is very nice, it feels somewhat outside the everyday atmosphere of Cairo. For some travelers this may not matter at all, but I personally would have enjoyed being closer to coffee shops and more local street life. That said, this does not take away from my very positive experience. Overall, I had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Reservation/booking: very poor. Received unsecured payment link, hotel did not show any interest to try to fix. Ended up not getting the discounted offer for the conference before the day I checked in. Hotel even claimed it was my fault since I had declined all payment alternatives !! Invoice/receipt: Very poor: The receipt I received did not match the amount I was charged. After 3 attempts they finally got it right! Breakfast/lunch: Good selection of food, very poor service. Had to ask for coffe 3-5 times before we got served. Happened every day through out our stay!! Room service: Very good!! Polite and friendly and cleaned my room to perfection every day:-) Facilities (rooms, swimming pool, gym etc): Very nice Location: Very good: next to the river Nile. Beautiful river view from my room

One and the only problem might be that, we booked the room with balcony and Nile view, didn’t realize there was a grand wedding that night, congrats to them but really impact our sleep at night. If remind us during check in, we could possibly change the room with less noise. Besides that, the experience was pretty good.

We stayed at the Sofitel Cairo Downtown Nile for a couple of nights before flying to Luxor for our Viking Nile cruise, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and everything worked exactly as expected. Our room overlooked the pool with beautiful views toward the western hills and citadel, along with a partial view of the Nile just across the street. The city skyline stretched in every direction. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of both local Egyptian and western selections. The hotel’s three restaurants each offered their own unique menu and atmosphere. Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay while visiting Cairo’s museums, tombs, and pyramids.
