I was stranded in Bordeaux because of train cancellations on the way back from a long business trip during which I experiences plane cancellations, rebookings, and multiple delays due to a storm system. This hotel was a godsend. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if this happens to me again.

We also understand your comment regarding the confusion with the other ibis hotel next door. Indeed, there are two ibis hotels located very close to each other — ibis Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean and ibis Styles Bordeaux Centre Gare. We understand how this can cause some confusion when using GPS or Google Maps. We are pleased that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet, the cleanliness of the room, and the overall quality of service provided by our staff. More an Ibis budget than Style. Cramped room, very noisy. Breakfast offering very poor and not on a par with other Ibis Styles. Water refill station out of action and no coffee available for guests. Air con noisy. Staff seemed somewhat disinterested. Whole area is very dirty due to the major building works. For the price it was extremely poor. Not an enjoyable stay.

You are absolutely right — our water refill station was temporarily out of service during your visit. Please rest assured that as soon as this issue occurred, we immediately replaced it with another fountain, which remains accessible to our guests at all times. In addition, our bar is open 24/7, where guests can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks — please note that these beverages are available for purchase. Regarding our breakfast, I am sorry to hear that it did not meet your expectations. We usually receive very positive feedback about the quality and variety of our buffet, which offers a wide range of sweet and savoury products, fresh fruits, pastries, and regional specialties. Your remarks have been shared with our team to ensure that we continue to provide a rich and satisfying experience to all our guests. As for the area around the hotel, Bordeaux is currently undergoing major urban redevelopment, which unfortunately is beyond our control. We understand this may affect the surroundings, and we do our utmost to maintain a clean, quiet, and pleasant atmosphere inside the property. Lastly, I regret to learn that you found our team less welcoming than expected. Middle of building site. Building on one side, busy road on other. Psychedelic 3D décor wasn’t to all our taste. Amenities and value for money OK, but not better than OK.

We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. While we're pleased to know you found our team welcoming and appreciated the cleanliness of your room, we also understand your concerns. We recognize that the surrounding construction work is far from ideal, and we share your frustration. Unfortunately, as the work is managed by the city and surrounding developers, it is beyond our control. That said, we continue to do our best to ensure the interior of the hotel remains a peaceful and comfortable environment. Regarding the electric vehicle chargers you mentioned, please note that we no longer have charging stations at the hotel. They were removed from our site several weeks ago, and this update is reflected on all our booking platforms. We apologize if this caused any inconvenience during your stay. We regret that the décor wasn’t to your personal taste — the vibrant style of ibis Styles aims to reflect creativity and personality, though we understand that preferences can vary. Your feedback regarding breakfast options is also well noted.
