Did earlier reviews and feedbacks already since this became "a Mercure" - for which I have some higher expectations. Sadly those expectations are still not being met. Hotel is in a prime spot in the center of town. The room inside is fine, lighting in the corridors could be automated because very dark when you cant find the button to press. Heating/cooling is dodgy. The "superior" room do not have windows to look out from, just some in the roof for "daylight" (and noise when it rains). The bathroom is clean and fine, the bathtub could use an anti-slip matt. My door lock didnt work very well, you had to take your time to find the right spot to have the door open. My worst disappointment was what the still dare to call a "fitness". I had really expected on this visit that that would have been resolved - but - NO. Still the same dark hole with a few pre-war machines still standing there, the only one that functions being the treadmill (but had to stop that after 10 minutes due to the noise it makes). A few loose weights and that's it. I had double checked before and the "fitness availability" is still prominently on the hotel's list of offers so was convinced it was resolved by now - but - NO - its a disgrace. Also "the bar" is still a few tables placed in the corridor - extremely uninviting sitting in a large hall. All those - other than location - are sadly a major step back from the Novotel previously. I see some investments are being made, but it needs more to see me there again.

Well located. Good breakfast choices. Old historical hotel, however need to work on renovations of rooms. Old rooms, no coffee machines, no water stations for guests. Low pressure of water in shower, Outdated gym area. Not 4 stars hotel, only 3.

It was okay, unfortunately a little dirty, the ventilation didn't work, and the water pressure was very low.
