Although some personnel at the front desk were friendly others, maybe their bosses, were not friendly or polite. Hotel does not have a concierge and front desk personnel were not able to answer basic tourist related questions eg hop-on hop-off buses. Rooms were cramped (superior double room). Conference rate was surprisingly higher than if I had booked the room myself without citing attendance at the conference. That really should not be the case.

My room was in good condition but it was so warm, it was not possible to get it to a reasonable temperature to sleep well.

Beginning to show it's age with a tatty appearance in places and block mould on tile grout in showers. Staff friendly and welcoming, food good but not special. A little way out of city centre so name is misleading. Rear of building (rooms 02-18 on each floor) faces on to an open air pool that was noisy in morning with early swimmers and evening with water polo. Also bins in this space were very noisy when being emptied.
