Overall, it was a comfortable experience but the fact that the aircon wasn't working properly in the room meant I could not fully rest during the night. I mentioned the issue to the reception but no visible action was taken save opening the window, which did improve things slightly.

A few days prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to request an early check-in and a late checkout via booking.com. We explicitly stated that we were fully prepared to pay any necessary fees to secure this flexibility. Upon our arrival, we were told by the receptionist that no rooms were available and that check-in time is at 3:00 PM. For a hotel of your size, it is difficult to comprehend how not a single family room was clean or available, suggesting either severe understaffing in housekeeping or a complete lack of effort to accommodate guests. Because of this rigid refusal to assist, I was forced to change my clothes and apply my makeup in the public restroom to make my appointment on time. This was an incredibly stressful, undignified, and disappointing start to our trip. As a paying guest who attempted to arrange accommodations well in advance, I expected a much higher level of customer service and problem-solving. I hope you will review your front desk policies regarding guest flexibility. Additionally, a sandwich bought at the front desk was an outrageous 3,200 HUF, this is quite overpriced. The minibar in our room was completely empty, which is strange for a 4-star hotel. Finally, while the terrace was nice, it was very unprofessional that hotel staff went to smoke directly behind the bar right next to where guests were sitting. Overall we had a good time. The room was nice with comfortable beds. The breakfast was very tasty, and the staff at the bar was attentive and kind.

I don’t usually complain as the staff is generally friendly, but this stay was disappointing. The Caesar salad in the restaurant was clearly not fresh, with a watery, unpleasant dressing. When I mentioned it while paying, the waiter didn’t react and I still paid full price. The room also had issues—worn equipment, constant noise from the bathroom ventilation, and an air conditioner that was loud but didn’t cool. The receptionist kindly offered a room change, but for one night it wasn’t worth the hassle. Overall, not a great experience despite the friendly staff.

The building and the hotel's equipment is quite old, but still pretty clean and functional. I found breakfasts not so much attractive, the choice of food was limited and the restaurant was crowdy and noisy.
