Wonil Hotel Perth - Handwritten Collection

Wonil Perth is a boutique hotel and Accor's Handwritten Collection brand debut. The name 'Wonil' was used by First Nations Noongar and translates to 'Peppermint Tree'. The Peppermint Tree is a traditional medicinal tree that grows along the banks of the Swan River. The Wonil provides a space for guests and locals to live, work, and play in harmony through sustainable and locally sourced cuisine, multi functional spaces, and outdoor areas.

We have stayed +10 times at your hotel in the last 4 months. This was the first time we had issues with the aircon. We stayed for 3 nights and I asked reception 5 times over the 3 days if they could help sort it out to which they all said they would, however, noone went in our room to look it. During the night the aircon kept resetting to 24 degrees and we would wake up sweating. We didnt sleep for 3 nights because of it. If it was a new hotel eco or money saving policy it would have been nice for reception staff to be honest rather than say "they'll look at it" to satisfy us and then do nothing.

The hotel is beautiful. Slightly awkward to find the entry but the staff were outstanding. Our room had to be changed but it was all handled very well. Sadly the open hallways that lead to the rooms make the rooms very noisey. Noise was coming for the road on one side and an extra function along the river on the other side and the room had no sound proofing. Disappointing as the rest of the hotel was lovely. All the food we had, including breakfast was delicious and the service was excellent.
