Wonil Perth is a boutique hotel and Accor's Handwritten Collection brand debut. The name 'Wonil' was used by First Nations Noongar and translates to 'Peppermint Tree'. The Peppermint Tree is a traditional medicinal tree that grows along the banks of the Swan River. The Wonil provides a space for guests and locals to live, work, and play in harmony through sustainable and locally sourced cuisine, multi functional spaces, and outdoor areas.

The room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view. It was a windy night and there was a constant banging and clanging coming from the roof as if a roof panel or part was loose and blowing around, it was very noisy making for a difficult night sleep. When I mentioned this on checkout, reception advised that it does that when it's windy and they have had other complaints and it had been reported to maintenance. I hope this is rectified as this was my second stay at the Wonil and I intend to stay again in the future.
