I booked a stay with the Adnate Perth on the 8 May 2026 for my fiance's birthday. The staff were absolutely incredible, and left a lovely birthday surprise for him in the room. The room itself was gorgeous, very clean and the view from the 24 level was beautiful.

As a Platinum member, I had certain expectations arriving at this property — none of which were met from the moment I checked in. I arrived at 2:45pm and was shown to my room, only to find the air conditioning wasn’t functioning — a serious issue in this climate. To make matters worse, the curtains had been left wide open with the afternoon sun pouring directly into the room, making it completely uncomfortable. There was no water in the fridge, which is a basic courtesy I’d expect at any level of property, let alone one that markets itself to loyal guests. When I raised the issue with the A/C, an engineer was sent to inspect the room at 3:30pm. Rather than receiving an apology or a prompt solution, I was told by a staff member that the problem existed because I had checked in early. I checked in at 2:45pm — this is not an early check-in by any reasonable standard, and frankly that response was both dismissive and unacceptable. A room should be fully operational before a guest is handed a key, regardless of the time. At no point during my arrival or thereafter was my Platinum status acknowledged — no welcome, no recognition, no gesture of any kind. For a loyalty programme that promises elevated service, this was a complete oversight. The combination of a non-functioning A/C, an unprepared room, blame being directed at the guest, and zero recognition of loyalty status makes this one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. I hope management takes this feedback seriously — the standards here need significant improvement.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed as I had asked for a late check out which I would pay for and advised that was fine and I could stay in my room for the day. However seems the next day it wasn’t as I was informed the hotel was full. I checked online in the morning after I was informed of this and it was showing rooms available. I packed up, stored my bags and wandered the streets for the day. I returned to the hotel late afternoon and spent time at the restaurant/bar/ pool area until it was time to go to the airport. My flight was not until 11pm, hence my late check out request. It was a very long day. The staff in this area were very nice. I had one beverage which also was nice. I did check online again and by the afternoon the hotel showed it was full. I really do not know what happened but I was not impressed. Also when I went to pay my account a room upgrade had been added! I did not receive an upgrade I was in the room I had booked and paid for! This was corrected by the receptionist. Also not impressed. On another note, I used your gym. Several machines were broken, a very tired outdated gym. Your hotel is nice, in a good location, the restaurant, bar and pool area are very pleasant. My room was nice, what I paid for. My experience was not a happy one however.
