The room itself was nice even though extremely cold despite me turning up the temperature as it was 8° out! I couldnt sleep at times as the AC was so cold. Besides that, the design itself was nice and I appreciated the blackout curtains. However the biggest let down was the lack of hospitality of the receptionists. A day before my stay I informed them about my dietary restrictions of being vegan and therefore making sure that I'd have a few options at breakfast. However it was highly disappointing as the only options were soy milk (which I had asked about if they could organize almond milk instead as I am allergic to soy) to which the answer was that they would check with the manager which seemed like it did not happen, leaving me with not option (to whoch they suggested I drink lactose free milk which made no sense). The food options I had were jam, (bread which was not separate at all from other products with animal products and all..) and oats. then the standard few fruits as well as cut up cucumbers and (which I was disgusted by) rotten cherry tomatoes! All right by the meat which ofc grossed me out and fortunately leaving me with no appetite anyway. That was all which was available to me which for one day is already disappointing but having this for 8 days is just.. can't believe it really! Given the fact that the 2 star hotel I stayed at the night before went the extra mile and prepared an extra bread that was not contaminated by other products as well as having 3 different kinds of cereal I could eat + 2 plant based milks as well as one of the receptionists checking every single one of the breakfast items and giving me a note of which products were okay for me to eat! I genuinely expected more from this 4 star hotel. What also upset me was one of the receptionists blindly assuming that all cereal was okay for me to eat which I then asked to check the ingredients only to find honey and milk being in one of them, rendering it inedible. From all the receptionists I interacted with came ignorance about this matter- I'm not assuming of ill intent but nonetheless not being informed and not caring about it either which I expect from somebody working in hospitality. Please get with the times and offer more options even if there's not so many vegans yet. We're still paying customers and deserve more than 3 breakfast items!
