On December 19th at around 9 p.m., I went up to the sky bar to have a cocktail, but I was met by a sign saying that it was closed for a private event. This felt quite strange — it was a Friday evening, already 9 p.m., yet there was no sign of any event actually taking place. Alright, I went down to the lobby bar instead and sat at the bar counter. The bartender was standing directly in front of me, making cocktails, but she neither greeted me nor offered a menu, nor asked what I would like to order — I was completely ignored. After waiting for a while, I stood up and walked around the entire bar counter trying to find a menu myself. Another waitress noticed me; she was busy with dishes, but still gave no indication that she had seen me or that she would come over shortly. In the end, I went back to my room — and saved myself the cost of a cocktail.

Needed a hotel near BUD before an early morning flight. Great location, short walk from terminal and best part was that breakfast was available starting at 4:00 am!
