Cheap option for visiting Budapest. A bit far from the city but underground is just opposite the hotel Rooms need a bit of an update. Good breakfast for the price. Air-conditioning quite weak for hot summer days

We were on a road trip from the UK to Romania. We only had one night in Budapest to meet friends. We arrived at the hotel half an hour early for check in and were told to wait, we didn’t mind this but in the mean time we noticed other people being checked in early which we thought was strange. Then at 3pm (check-in time) a member of staff came to inform us that we couldn’t check in until 5pm because on of their loyalty members had extended their stay. I found this extremely unprofessional. No offer of a discount, room upgrade or to move us to another location. We then insisted that they give us a room to shower and use the bathroom as we had travelled for 11 hours. We were then allowed to use a room for one hour, for 2 adults and a child to shower and refresh. Obviously this was a rush. We then delayed our trip into the city centre so we could check in at 5pm but were then told the room still wasn’t ready. We then decided that if we didn’t go into the city the whole point of visiting Budapest would’ve been pointless. Still no apology or any offer of compensation. We didn’t end up accessing our room until 22:30. The whole ordeal tarnished our stay in Budapest. I am in the process of making a complaint and expect to be refunded or I will be making a complaint to my credit card company as service was not provided as agreed. We have never experienced such unprofessionalism and won’t be using this hotel again.

Front desk was extremely helpful and friendly to find a quiet room and provide a mini fridge during our stay. Free parking in front of the hotel and being beside the metro made the trip easy and affordable by car. Large glass window and balcony made the room feel bigger. Good water pressure and quiet setting in the back for being a public transit connection hub. Couple of small items: The fixtures in rooms should be checked to see if need replacing, such as the telephone, the toilet seat hinge and the bathtub drain plug. But these are minor. Also, housekeeping did not provide new toilet paper when about to run out. Not a big deal, but such small things should be checked instead of having to ask the front desk. However, I would gladly stay there again for its convenience, affordability, and friendliness.

We have stayed in this hotel from Friday to Monday. We enjoyed our stay here mainly because of friendly and welcoming staff at the reception during our whole stay and also a lady serving us food and drinks at the restaurant on Friday and Saturday evening. Thanks to the receptionist checking us in we also had assigned more quiet room which also made our stay more comfortable.

Everything was OK, aside from service at reception desk: it takes too long to check-in and out because staff is poorly trained (I had the impression I was dealing with students). My invoice was not properly filled in (with company data) so I had to ask for new one that had been sent tome by mail.

This hotel meets with high expectations. Clean, comfortable, well located and the staff is friendly and helpful. The room size is according to IBIS standards, but everything else is clearly higher than any other IBIS experience I have encountered. It beats even some Mercure ranked hotels. The only flaw so far is they seem to forgot to administer the extra 100 points / nights for skipping the cleaning.

Hotel is outside of the city but right next to a metro station and bus terminal so easy to get to the city. Almost everything as expected, smooth check in, nice gift in the room. Unfortunately the air conditioning whilst set to full cooling had zero impact. The room was uncomfortably hot and difficult to sleep in.
