The hotel is literally located right at Terminals 2A and 2B so if you have an early flight, this is where you want to be. Check in was very nice and easy although we got a little bit of wrong information. (We needed to leave the hotel at 4 am; we were told that we would get a take away breakfast however when we checked out the person at check out said that it was too early for that.) The room itself was fine although the only functioning lights were the two bedside lights. The lamp on the side of the desk did not work. The bed was extremely lumpy and there was no mattress cover on the mattress. A thin sheet covered the actual mattress. No washclothes in the bathroom and the towels were really threadbare.

Naturally IBIS is not a George V. or Ritz, but really ideal for a night between two flights. However, having spent many nights in IBIS hotels in several countries, I might say the this hoel at Budapest Airport was the best IRIS for ever. Very good staff at the reception, good staff in the breakfast restaurant. Good breakfast. One more small remark: this is the only IBIS hotel where I stayed having Villeroy+Bock ceramics in the bathroom.

Excellent customer service, special thanks to a chap called Andris, who pulled out all the stops to make my stay comfortable. The hotel itself is clean, modern, comfortable, within a short walk of both terminals (there is even a covered walkway, which is very handy when you have luggage to manoeuvre in the rain). Nice breakfast available as well, again with attentive, competent service, an older gentleman made me a great cup of tea - and I am very fussy when it comes to tea :)

The transportation of luggage to the Departure level at the Airport should be organized so your guests would be happy to pay for the 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. luggage transfer ($5 - $20) instead of sweating and cursing on many languages pushing carts or hauling bags uphill on the long ramp at 6 o’clock in the morning👎👎👎👎👎

I asked for an upgraded room and was quoted a suite price. Booking.com mentioned a junior suite which was less expensive. The reception made no mention of a junior suite before I brought up the Booking choices. Like most hotels we traveled to in Hungary, the reception bordered on cool to indifference.

Overall, a pleasant stay. Counter personnel were friendly and helpful, and the room itself was very clean and comfortable. Ibis and All Accor communications are less helpful. Although I told the counter that I would be checking out at 4AM, Ibis sent me an email after 4 AM asking when I would be checking out: I had already returned my key to the desk. Online check-in was also problematic: All Accord emailed, texted and WhatsApp'd me about checking in two days before my arrival, but when I checked in online and All Accor promptly billed my credit card, All Accor still continued to email me to check-in. For the service received, Ibis Styles at Budapest is seriously over-priced.
