the design of the hotel was stunning, best hotel in the palm , staff were friendly, always smiling, clean , the afternoon tea and overall food from dinner to breakfast was satisfying especially to my mom who loves simple cooked dishes

I chose to spend my birthday weekend at this hotel, and it was my first time staying here. I often visit similar properties to unwind from work, so I arrived with certain expectations. Unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet them. Upon arrival, the receptionist briefly explained the hotel’s amenities and ongoing activities verbally. When I asked if there was any printed or written information for reference, none was provided. The interaction felt somewhat impersonal, with limited eye contact, and we were directed to find our room on our own. No one accompanied us, so we had to search for it ourselves, which was not the most welcoming first impression. When I asked about the location of the gym, I was simply told to step outside the room and ask anyone around, rather than being given clear directions, which felt a bit dismissive. We were also advised to leave our luggage at reception, with the assurance it would be delivered within 10 minutes. In reality, it arrived after about an hour and a half, and only after two follow-up calls. The room itself was pleasant, with a nice garden view, which was exactly what we were looking for. However, overall service consistency was lacking. For example, simple requests such as water sometimes required repeated follow-ups. The breakfast buffet was also below expectations compared to other hotels in the same category, particularly in terms of variety. On a positive note, the gym facilities were good, and the staff member there was very helpful and welcoming, which stood out in contrast to other interactions. As this was a birthday stay, I had mentioned the occasion in advance. While I did appreciate the small piece of a cake, it arrived just an hour before checkout, which made the celebration feel somewhat overlooked. Overall, the hotel may be a suitable choice for first-time visitors to this type of experience. However, for those accustomed to a higher standard of luxury and service, there may be some aspects that fall short of expectations.
