We were grateful for an early check in, which we were not expecting. Rooms showed signs of age. Balcony door was very difficult to get open and closed. Room only cleaned on day 1, we then had to ask for fresh towels and toilet roll. Amenities in the shower were empty, you only got one coffee pod, and not milk for the drinks. We were called to reception as we had exceeded our room deposit. Staff were friendly and helpful.

At 10:00 AM, I called the concierge desk to request assistance with collecting my luggage from my room. To facilitate a prompt pickup, I had already placed my bags outside the door. Despite this, it took 35 minutes from the time of my call for staff to bring my luggage downstairs, an unreasonable delay for what should be a routine and time sensitive service, especially for guests managing checkout schedules, transport, or flight timings.
This level of service fell well short of the standard I expected from a Sofitel property and it created unnecessary stress and inconvenience during my departure.
I would appreciate it if you could look into what caused this delay and let me know what steps are being taken to prevent similar issues for future guests. I would also welcome any response the hotel feels is appropriate given this experience.

The hotel itself is beautiful. The room was luxurious, and the view was excellent. I would also like to thank the valet parking team, who were very helpful and cooperative.
However, I have one main comment regarding the reception staff during check-in. Unfortunately, the receptionist did not offer me any additional services or special arrangements. I specifically mentioned that I was celebrating my wedding anniversary, but I did not receive any upgrade, special gesture, or recognition from the hotel.
For a hotel of Sofitel’s size and excellent reputation, I expected a more welcoming and attentive approach. First impressions matter, and I believe the receptionist could have been more professional, warm, and accommodating. There was also no welcome drink offered upon arrival.
Overall, the hotel has many positive aspects, but unfortunately, the check-in experience left me disappointed. Thank you for the stay, but honestly, this is not an experience I would choose to repeat.

We love the situation of where Sofitel is right in the middle of JBR. The hotel is very clean. It doesn’t seem like Sofitel has suffered after the Iran issue. Staff are very polite and helpful. The morning breakfast restaurant staff are always happy with a smile and polite and very helpful. The housekeeping staff Paras made sure our room was kept cleaned and equipped. He made us feel we are home. Thank you. The hotel swimming pool is small and does get crowded but don’t feel it’s for kids as no space. Overall we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely be staying with you on our next trip.
