Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach Hotel 5 stars

The hotel did not have its own beach, so it was necessary to go to the public beach and rent loungers (the hotel provided towels, bag, and beach mat) The gym equipment was rather dated (no TV signals at the screens of the treadmills and ellipse) The service was not personal (even information about the club lounge schedule they provided with appeal just dear guest) It was difficult to attract employees attention during the breakfast. I had to look for the employee to make the order for extra coffee. In the room there was no information about hotel facilities (they removed the paper directory but did not implement QR codes. They use QR codes only for room service and restaurant menu). The hotel did not provide face masks. The hotel had a small swimming pool with a limited quantity of lounges. Because of the building construction, the sun came to the swimming pool area only after 1 pm Rooms on the low floors were not renovated. I stayed in renovated room, but there was dirty spots on the carpet and on the glass fence in the shower. The hotel had only 4 slow moving elevators and it was necessary to wait for a long time. Most of all I was impressed with communication with the hotel manager mr. Tushar. After my negative answer to his question about my enjoying the room, he just offered to appeal him if I need any assistance and went away.

My experience was great as usual; it was annoying that the price per night at reception was triple the price on Booking.com which to me makes no sense, especially given the fact I have membership with you. Also definitely need to buy more heaters as it gets super chilly at night.

I was in the UK for Christmas and New Year and was meant to return to Singapore in January but Singapore cancelled my return approval due to the UK “variant”. So had to spend 17 days in Dubai before returning to Singapore. I picked the Sofitel as it was out of downtown (so away from crowds) and close to the beach and restaurants (and I have stayed in other Sofitels before). Great location and my room had a full sea view with balcony. As I was working, the desk set up was good with a comfortable chair. Decent sized room and very comfortable bed. Very friendly and efficient service from front desk, the restaurants and the housekeeping team. Good breakfast buffet. Three downsides: 1. Whilst the bathroom as a whole was well sized, the toilet cubicle was extraordinary... Instead of the toilet being on the back wall, it had been turned sideways to fit in a bidet which meant that it was very cramped getting in an out and sitting on it. Very weird... 2. The internet would briefly cut out from time to time which interrupted video/audio work calls. 3. The “business centre” is just a couple of desks off the lobby with PCs and a printer. However, there is no USB cable to print to the printer and I can’t log into a random computer to access work emails so couldn’t print from their PCs. Shouldn’t be a big deal to have a USB cable for the printers? Staff on duty, whilst charming, were not tech savvy.

Beautiful place

Located in Jumeirah, next to restaurants, bars and shops. The beach is in front of the hotel. All of the staff is particularly attentive, kind and polite. Breakfast is amazing, and lounge is good too.

From arrival to the moment we depart everything was perfect.

We want to say a huge thank you to the Sofitel team, we was surprise with a small French cake in the room. Ravi did an excellent job daily. Front desk team always willing to help with all our queries Markus and Kiel was great. All of the team is doing excellent despite the mask on. We will come soon to try the new room with the spectacular view.

the only thing that I would change is the dinner as I was not impressed at all. I mainly ordered room service in the evening because of this

Second stay in Sofitel JBR Beach, was expected to receive same service and attention based on my first stay last october 20 but this time was not the case unfortunatly. Special thanks to housekeeping and staff from lounge and restaurant. Foods were ok. Reception this time did not offered service as I expected as Accor Members. For sure will not book again in this hotel.

I've stayed one night in this hotel as ALL Diamond member. Due to my Diamond status I used the possibility to upgrade my room to upgrade to Suite. When I came home after two days I've got a serious fever. for one week. My docter gave me surgery against legionella bacteria. After this I got well. But take care. In this hotel they don't take serious care about this!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time!

Nice experience

Hotel is nice, room was ok, not so big but fine for a week stay. Location was perfect, public beach just in front, all restaurants and cafe', only the pool area can be improved a bit.
