Opened on 9 October 2025 as Australia's first 25hours Hotel, The Olympia is a boutique lifestyle hotel set within the restored West Olympia Theatre in Paddington. The 109-room property celebrates a Dreamers and Renegades design concept and features a curated collection of dining and social spaces, including one-hat The Palomar, The Mulwray cocktail and wine bar, Jacob the Angel café, and Monica Rooftop Bar with sweeping views across Paddington and Sydney's skyline.

Overall the Hotel was very good. I had a room overlooking the courtyard which was quiet and pleasant. The room was clean and well appointed and the bathroom sizeable. The location of the hotel is close to transport (Buses) and a short walk to Kings Cross Station. It’s an easy walk downhill to the CBD, Art Gallery, Botanic Gardens and The Opera House.

I stayed at the hotel two nights as part of a Qantas package. Pre-arrival communication was lovely, and I really appreciated an early checkin after a red-eye flight from Darwin. I loved the lobby area and general building theme/ design. Reception and hospitality staff were amazing, and dinner at Monica's and Palomar breakfasts exceeded expectations. A few property and cleaning issues, the most annoying were a strong unpleasant smell in level 2 hallway (fortunately didn't extend into room), and two pillows which smelt dank/damp (fortunately we had 4 pillows so could discard these).

The hotel feels new and rooms are nice. I contacted the hotel in advance via the All app and they never replied. I requested an upgrade as a Platinum Member and was denied despite plenty of availability on their web site! 3 days before leaving I sent another mail to ask about pricing to étend stay 4 days and got no reply ( ended up moving to a Marriot property nearby). Overall it’s a beautiful location but the staff never replied to communications or requests.
