Good location close to the medieval cite and some small restaurants and bars. The hotel is very clean and modern with plenty of space. Our room was lovely with a great view of the castle from our balcony. The room was very hot and stuffy and there was no air conditioning. It was also disappointing that the rooftop bar wasn't open as this was the main reason we booked this hotel and it wasn't clear upon booking that it isn't open every day.

Overall good experience at Tribe Carcassonne. Arrived late but was able to check in without issue and pay for parking in the secure underground car park. Rooms both had shower over the bath, and no availability for a walk in shower for elderly mother upon check in. Swimming pool and roof top terrace, and the underground at park were only accessible by stairs, no lift access to those with mobility issues. The view from the bar / restaurant area was nearly as good as the terrace area though. At the time of our visit the road by the hotel was quiet enough to stop on to be able to load an elderly person into our vehicle without causing inconvenience to anyone else. Rooms were attended to daily by the cleaning staff, but we found that the room doors needed pulling closed to activate the door locks. It appears that the cleaning staff were not doing this as both rooms were found insecure upon our return to the hotel on both days, so this needs addressing by the hotel. Staff at reception were made aware of our concerns (rooms 104 & 108 just in case). Fortunately there were no issues during our stay. A lovely location to be close to the old city and the river.
