The hotel is truly exceptional. My only complaint is that the tub/shower is absolutely frightening. The tub is narrow and very slippery, and there is no grab bar or anything else to hold onto while getting in and out of the tub. Not the spa-like experience I would have expected from an otherwise memorable stay.

We returned to this wonderful hôtel for a second time, again being to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were welcomed and then treated with the upmost care and attention, as it was on our first visit, and cannot fault the most helpful staff in any way. The room, an upgrade to a suite, was in all ways, perfect even though we had to thread our way through the hôtels labyrinthine corridors to reach it. That was before being showed the short cut. The chocolates and the bubbly were well appreciated. Dinner in La Barbacane was as sublime as we remembered it to be. We must thank the Chef for such marvelous fare and all the restaurant staff for their tremendous attention to detail and hard work. Breakfast the following morning was also taken in the restaurant. Both hot and cold food on offer and very good it was too. Having stayed in several MGallery's in Paris, Lyon and Essaouria, this undoubtedly amongst the best. Many, many thanks for both your welcome and attention, We will be sure to return. Á Bientôt.

This is a classic hotel situated directly inside the Citadel. The service was excellent and quite attentive to our needs. We had dinner one night at Barbicane restaurant, which was remarkable and recommended. The sitting room and bar was not open during our stay, which was unfortunate. There was a bar and nice seating outside on the patio, however.
