Staff very helpful, food looked good, although didn't eat here in the evening, but wish we had. Breakfast very good. Outside was lovely for a drink and pool looked enticing, although not open until 9.30am for cleaning....would have been great for a early morning swim before breakfast, but this did not happen. Room was very clean, although bathroom needed a paint, where wall had been repaired, sink well lit and shower easy to operate. Had full length window, but unable to open as blind did not lift up. Would have liked an upstairs room with an opening window. Clean towels every day, so only minor issues. Having said this l can always find something wrong. Lol. All in all a great Hotel to stay and would return again and again.

We liked the location 5 minutes walk from the Cité. The staff were excellent and we enjoyed sitting in the quiet attractive garden for a drink before dinner. The restaurant food was good and inexpensive. The staff struggled to keep up with demand for breakfast items and the buffet area was too small really for the number of hotel guests at peak times.

The hotel was stylish and clean with friendly staff. The free parking was a bonus and its proximity to the walled Cite. We enjoyed our breakfast and our evening meal.

The only problem was the pork was served rare with blood. You should not eat pork with blood in it.

As indicated above, Mercure Carcassonne was an overnight stop on our journey north. The welcome was friendly and informative and the accommodation was prepared and presented well. We opted to have breakfast which provided a wide range of very good choices. A very good experience, overall.
