Formal Complaint Regarding Shuttle Service and Overall Stay Experience Dear Hotel Management, I would like to express my disappointment regarding several aspects of our recent stay at your hotel. First, the shuttle service experience was extremely disappointing. I emailed one day prior to arrival with our flight details and clearly requested airport pick-up, mentioning that I was travelling with my mother, who cannot walk long distances. As instructed, I called at 13:30 upon arrival and was informed that the shuttle would arrive in 10 minutes. After waiting 20 minutes in the cold and rain, I called again and was reassured that the shuttle was on its way. After another 15 minutes with no sign of it, I had to call for a third time. Ultimately, the shuttle arrived after approximately 45 minutes of waiting outside in poor weather conditions. Had I been properly informed about the delay, I would have remained inside the airport instead of waiting outdoors. Clear communication would have significantly improved the situation. Upon arrival at the hotel, the staff did not seem to fully acknowledge the inconvenience caused and repeatedly stated that it was “not their fault.” While I understand that delays and busy periods can happen, I expected a more solution-oriented and empathetic approach. Additionally: Our room was not ready upon arrival. The restaurant was closed until 7:00 PM, despite the hotel being rated 4 stars and us arriving hungry after travel. During a shift change, staff appeared unaware of our situation, which resulted in another 45 minutes of waiting without explanation. When attempting to pay, both of my credit cards were unexpectedly declined. I then offered to pay in cash, but was informed that cash payments were not accepted. I had to wait for managerial approval in order to complete the payment. Furthermore, we had booked a Valentine’s Day dinner expecting a refined 4-star restaurant experience. Instead, the dinner was served in the breakfast room (still set up for breakfast), which felt unusual and lacked ambiance. There was only one server attending approximately 25 tables, resulting in very slow service. Unfortunately, this was not the experience I expected, particularly as this was the most expensive hotel I booked during my holiday in Freiburg, Colmar, Mulhouse, and Basel. I would appreciate your feedback regarding this situation and would like to understand how you intend to address these concerns. Kind regards, Anamaria A.

First experience at this hotel when we arrived for our holidays the hotel was so clean and bedrooms so comfortable we decided to book it for our last night before departure. They didn't have the family bedroom this time so we had two bedrooms located next to each other it was very nice! Very important information if you ask for the free shuttle at our arrival, as soon as you get you luggages you call the reception of the hotel and in 10 minutes the mini bus will be waiting for you outside BUT at the queue of the taxi line outside. Very important to know because we were waiting at the beginning and they couldn't find us and the situation became a bit complicated fortunately I'm French and could communicate properly to avoid even more misunderstanding... !
