Getting to the hotel on foot took longer than expected and I didn’t find the footpath in the dark, so I ended up walking on the road. Better guidance for pedestrians on the website would be good. Takes about 20 minutes to walk. When I got there, I couldn’t get in because something was wrong with the door opener. At midnight. Had to call and wait for 15-20 minutes for someone to come and open the door. This shouldn’t happen. Room was frugal but sufficiently clean. No complaints there. You get what you pay for.

Cost-efficient stay for a night. Premium room gives small private shower and toilet, minimun features like towel, bed, TV, bedsheets. Parking is free. Check-in (in person) was smooth and friendly. Corridor noises are normal in the budget hotels so take your earplugs. I would stay again for a night.

The hotel is cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for, but the location is great for departing from Basel Airport, especially early in the morning. With this in mind, it would be good if the hotel provided walking directions. Google Maps tried to send me down a "pedestrians forbidden" road, but Apple Maps got me there. There was a sign in the room saying that it is possible to ask for more pillows at reception, but at the reception, I was told this is not a service they offer. They eventually found me an extra pillow.

I had a very bad experience there. They charged us €60 as a deposit, or as they called it, a “guarantee fee.” There was no toilet (bathroom) inside the room. In the shared bathrooms, there was no hand soap or liquid soap at all. We even had to pay extra to buy toilet paper. The rooms were very small and gloomy. What was even more surprising is that when you book the hotel through Booking.com and the payment is already charged to your credit card, there is no reason to ask for an additional guarantee fee in such a low-quality hotel with no proper facilities. The only positive point was that it was close to Basel Airport — and that’s all.
