Bed linen didn’t look fresh and smelled like someone used them before. Hair on the bed sheets. No towel or duvet provided. Would only stay there again if absolutely necessary. I felt a bit discussed by the smell of the bedsheets.

First, thank you for being close to the Basel airport, welcoming, clean and safe for families. The Accor F1 employees are also very supportive and friendly. The beds are high quality. We had a good stay for one night. I was travelling with my two children. Second, what can be improved. It was very hot so we opened the window, but then we had a lot of noise. A wall against the motorway noise or some wave system to do noise cancellation would be great if possible. I would like the towels to be included in the fare. We did not have euro change so we could not shower. Accor breakfast is great but I could not find a way to order breakfast online for the kids and it was not available before 6:30am. Our flight was at 8:10 am.. I would gladly pay a bit more for a better service. Thank you.

The hotel is located near EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg, which initially seemed very convenient. However, it is surprisingly difficult to reach on foot from the airport. The airport is surrounded by fences, and there are no signs or directions explaining how to get to the hotel. Upon arrival, I had to wait at reception because the receptionist was busy writing an email and did not interrupt her work to check me in. It was not the most welcoming first impression. I knew I was booking a budget hotel, so I was not expecting luxury. That is not the issue. The real problem was the room. It had an unpleasant smell, and because I stayed during the summer, the temperature inside was unbearable. My room was on the ground floor facing the parking lot, and it felt like an oven. Sleeping was almost impossible due to the heat. Opening the window was not a good option because it did not feel safe, and the hot air radiating from the asphalt only made the room even warmer. I also expected the room to be clean and reasonably comfortable, regardless of the hotel's category. To my surprise, towels were not provided, which I found to be another negative aspect of the stay. Finally, when I checked out during the advertised reception hours, there was no one at the front desk. Overall, the location may be convenient for the airport, but the poor accessibility, uncomfortable room conditions, lack of basic amenities, and disappointing service made this a stay I would not recommend.

+ Location is convenient, prices fair for the service (e.g., 9m2 'sidecar' room for ca. 50€), clean; - noise is quite likely from nearby highway and/or neighbors (lateral, above, under etc.); very hot and stuffy in summer (no AC, no drafts); initially cold in winter (ok after 1-2 hrs)

Unfortunately, this accommodation was far below expectations. The room was tiny, stuffy, and had no AC or fan. We were on the ground floor, so keeping the window open wasn't an option. My wife and daughter suffered significantly throughout the night due to the lack of ventilation and heat. It was a completely unacceptable experience.

Some rooms in this hotel have been modified to have en-suite bathroom, but I had booked an old-style one with only the wash basin inside the room. Shower and toilet are shared and located in the corridor. This is okay as I only stayed for one night. There was however a strange persistent smell of smoke even though the rooms are all non-smoking. I guess this comes from the sitting area outside the reception, where guests go to smoke. Maybe a room facing the back of the hotel would have been better in this instance.
