I've been here a few times. Once, the reception staff were very unfriendly, but that improved later. Most recently, the breakfast buffet had a worse selection of food than before. I arrived for breakfast at 9:15 and the staff said there was only one portion of fish noodle soup left. This made me feel that the service quality had deteriorated significantly, and I will reconsider whether to return next time.

Despite living in Vung Tau, I still chose to stay at Mercure Vung Tau. The service is consistently warm and attentive, the food is always satisfying, and the sunset views here are simply beautiful. It felt like a relaxing escape close to home. With my upcoming move, it is a place I know I will truly miss.

Great room. Great breakfast. Great terrace for dining and drinking. Nice pool, could be a bit deeper but no problems. Good small kid pool too. Only reason for a 9 not a 10 is the crappy beach but there’s nothing the hotel can do about that. A good thing is the really good cheap seafood restaurant just down the road.

Our family had a 2-nights stay in executive rooms with sea view. Our rooms are right next to the sea and the feeling was like in a cruise. We had so much fun riding the tides when the wave swept in. The hotel is well maintained and clean. Not to forget to mention that there are seafood restaurants within 3 km from the hotel where we had very nice seafood at very reasonable price.
