The staff were very kind, the room was very clean. However, there was a big problem for me. The people in the next room were very noisy and I woke up in the middle of the night, which was very disturbing.

Hello, I arrived at Madrid Barajas Airport at 2:00 PM, but the hotel did not offer a shuttle bus at that time, which was a significant inconvenience. Upon arrival and check-in, I was assigned my room, 308, from Wednesday, May 6, to May 8, 2026. The most critical issue occurred at 6:10 PM when I attempted to dine at the hotel restaurant. The receptionist, a male, was engaged in an argument with the food employee, a female, using a high-pitched voice and inappropriate body language. It is unacceptable to engage in such behavior in front of customers, but the hotel staff did not seem to care. I was accompanied by a friend and ordered a beverage. The receptionist, with a hostile attitude, demanded immediate payment and screened us, appearing visibly upset. I requested the menu to order from, but she responded that no food would be served until later without providing a proper explanation. She was running late to work because we were waiting in the lobby due to the delayed service, which began at 6:00 PM. On Friday, May 8, the shuttle bus scheduled for 7:00 AM was parked at an incorrect location. Many guests lost their connection to the service because they were waiting at the wrong entrance. The driver’s arrogance was evident, and I had to intervene to prevent him from hitting me with the bus. As an Accor member, I have frequently stayed at the ibis brand hotels and have never experienced such poor service. Every employee displayed a hostile attitude and responded aggressively, making us feel as though we were receiving complimentary services without paying for our hotel accommodations. I understand the concept of a “Budget” brand, but it does not reflect the quality of service I received at the ibis brand hotels. Ibis hotels worldwide provide excellent travel experiences, and it is disappointing to encounter such negative situations at specific times. Although my booking was made through Booking.com, the service provided should have met the standards of the brand. Your team appears to be composed of unhappy individuals who are working in a hostile environment, both for themselves and for their customers.

Took a long time to check in and the electricity seemed to go out at 2/3 in the morning and a back up light came on in the room which I couldn’t turn off which meant I couldn’t sleep

The check-in process may occasionally take longer due to the amount of data required under the Royal Decree that came into force in December. Regarding the electricity issue and the emergency light activation during the night, we regret the disturbance caused. The emergency light turns on automatically in case of a temporary power interruption due to external causes beyond the hotel’s control.
