If you're staying with a pet, we recommend a walk through the nearby Juan Carlos I Park or Capricho Park. If the weather is not good, shopping at the Plenilunio Shopping Center or Campo de las Naciones Shopping Center can be an excellent option (Bus 2 min walk). The Plaza Mayor de Barajas is less than 5 minutes away on foot. Along Avenida General and Avenida de Logroño, you will find a variety of local shops, banks, pharmacies, post offices, supermarkets, laundromats, etc.

We recommend exploring the heart of Madrid. Just 30 minutes by metro: explore Madrid de los Austrias, top museums, spectacular sunset at Temple of Debod, and enjoy theater and shopping along the vibrant Gran Vía.

Regarding the airport transportation, we would like to clarify that our hotel has not offered a shuttle service for more than six years. We do not advertise an airport transfer on our website; instead, we provide detailed information about the different public and private transport options available to reach the hotel. It was a very nice stay. But the time standing at reception is very long, much much longer compared to other hotels. This is most likely to outdated booking systems or so, since it was the same with all receptionists. Also we needed to charge the key to our room every time we came back to the hotel. After walking back to reception three times we realized we needed to walk by every time we came back to the room. So unnecessary if the hotel would invest in a reliable system. Lastly we were wrongly charged 70% of our stay when we arrived, even though we had already paid everything. It turned out Booking.com only sent a part of the payment through. Apparently the first receptionist couldn’t see this. And when we came back in the evening that receptionist also couldn’t. The third one we spoke to, the next morning, could finally see the situation for what it was? How is it possible that not all the people at reception have access to the same knowledge and skills needed to do the job?
