Good location, reasonable room although not keen on shower within the room and toilet in separate ‘cupboard’ slept well and was quiet

My first time in Metz and a great location to explore from. I was staying for business but still had the opportunity to absorb the essence of the city. Totally fell in love with it. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and welcoming. The reception area / lobby / lounge isn’t the most exciting… but this a historic building that does not have the capacity to accommodate this. If I need to come back to Metz… I will be staying here.

Two negative points have kind of ruined what could have been a very good stay : - our shower drain was blocked and despite an employee's intervention with a plunger (at 10.30 pm), it remained blocked; we were proposed to take a shower in another bedroom but used our kids' one; I would be very surprised this was unknown when the bedroom was booked for us.... - I asked for advice to park my car and was told to do so on the quite close cathedral parking....which appeared to host a market on Sat mornings; and of course, my car was towed away at 5am...and it costed me 135 + 45 Euros to get it back; I should for sure have checked better when I parked but honestly, sometimes, you need to be able to rely on professionals' advice....
