Well located, easy to find and park. The room was a good size . The restaurant did not disappoint and we had two excellent dinners.

We were really quite shocked by our experience at this hotel. It was just a quick overnight stop but we expected a slightly more pleasant experience. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was really rundown and depressing. Our check in was awkward and the lobby was dirty. Overall not a welcoming. The courtyard space was filthy and felt unsafe which made walk the dog at night and early in morning uncomfortable. On the positive, the quality of food in the restaurant was excellent. We have a very pleasant dinner. Unfortunately breakfast was horribly rushed as we were not told that breakfast service ended at 10am at reception when we booked it. Several people complained loudly about this so we weren’t alone. We were forced to just grab what was leftover which was a shame because it was excellent food and I would have been able speak highly of the restaurant had it not been so rushed and awkward. I don’t fault the restaurant for this. We won’t ever stop here again and I can’t recommend this hotel.

this hotel is outdated in terms of rooms, the building itself, the elevators etc. Everything feels like you are in the '90s or so. Far from the general Novotel experience one is expecting, and even further from a 4 star hotel expectation. In addition, the immediate vicinity of the hotel is not pleasant either (the building is part of a shopping mall). If I were to book a hotel in central Metz again, then I would certainly book somewhere else.

We hear your comments about the rooms and the overall feel of the building. A full renovation is planned from January 2027, which will bring the hotel up to the standards our guests deserve. As for the immediate surroundings, part of the exterior depends on the Saint-Jacques shopping centre co-ownership, over which we unfortunately have limited control.
