Great Location, bad stay due to poor condition of the room

We booked this hotel mainly because of its proximity to the Christmas market. Our excitement went to zero when we entered our room. The carpet was stained, the walls paint was chipping off, and the room odor was bad. Great location, but the hotel doesn't seem like 3 star due to its poor condition from inside.

I was okay to rest

I was late at breakfast but the staff allowed me to have some coffe and bread. Thanks. Later that day I was waiting for the taxi and at the bar around 12:00 I asked for a beer and someone very unpleasant told me it was not a good idea. I changed to cofee and it was okay. He looked the bar manager and was talking with 2 friends. 15 mnutes later tHEY were having a beer. Not cool

I stayed twice at this hotel and the last time it was really because every other one was full. I was even worse than the first time. No check of the green pass (pass sanitaire), terrible staff not welcoming at all, dirty common areas and incredibly dirty room (hair in the bathroom, coffee on the wall near the coffee area, dirt spots on the door). Do not recommend.

Having stayed at several Accor hotels and having always had a pleasant stay we feel the need to complain at the standard of the superior room at the Novotel Metz centre. There was a tear in the sofa bed and the toilet and bathroom area was not acceptable in our opinion. We were really disappointed with our room it was not up to the usual standard that we have come to expect of the Accor hotel.

Excellent hotel right in the city center and close to all attractions. Hotel parking is spotless and very nice with direct access with the elevator to the hotel. Breakfast is plentiful and very good and the dinner is even better.
