Unfortunately we had some issues because our booking did not come through. That was not the mistake of the hotel, but the mistake of Booking. The staff could have been a bit more forthcoming while we were trying to solve the issue with Booking.com ( perhaps offer a glas of water etc. after our long drive), but there were not interested at all, if not even challinging I actually made the booking ( although I showed I had paid it to Booking). What I really did not expect from a hotel of your standing is having to sleep on a matrass with a plastic cover on it. When I woke up during the night, my sheets were drenched. Very unpleasant. Also in the bathroom, the panel underneath the washbasin was open, looked very sloppy.

The hotel is well-located but car park is limited - very small with only 2 spaces available even mid-afternoon. The rooms are rather small and dark - the privelege room looks dated. I note that the first floor is being refurbished so maybe there is a program to update everything.

The hotel was difficult to find with many local street closures. The hotel could have sent out warnings and directions. We were not told that the restaurant would be closed on Sundays when we arrived. Whilst having breakfast by the window a queue of people came to let their dogs poo on the pretty area of grass outside. The room was small and of. A Novotel standard.
