I booked a room for three nights because I need to travel to NUS frequently. Located near to Kent Ridge bus terminal is very helpful because I can board the NUS shuttle easily (I am a NUS student) to go around the campus. Travelling elsewhere is ok with the bus terminal nearby. The only thing I am a little concern is that while I booked a room with windows, just to get some space and not feeling too trapped, the view is directly to somebody's house, and it is very very near. As in the aunty of the house can just see me clearly, which could be uncomfortable for some people. I have my blinds on most of the time. Thus, having a window is just like not having one. I know it's not really the hotel's fault but I am still a little bit disappointed with this. Service is very good though, the receptionists were all super polite and helpful, even allowed me to check in early. I really appreciate that.

The rooms are quite small and the check in procedure that requires a digital key on the mobile phone takes time and effort.

When contacting the hotel before arrival, it took over one week to receive any reply, despite sending multiple messages on both booking.com and by email. Then there was still confusion from the hotels side when checking in. When staying at the hotel, there was absolutely no hot or warm water coming from the shower. From the sink, there was only hot water coming. Therefore we could not shower nor drink. The hallways also smelled like cigarettes despite the room being non-smoking, and we could hear all the noise coming from the hallways, as well as other people's bathrooms.

Regarding the shower, hot water is available in all rooms; the heater switch needs to be turned on from the side panel. We regret this was not clear upon arrival.
