Somehow, we got assigned a handicap room, and it wasn't so clean, especially the bathroom where there are many brownish spots around rails, floors, etc. So supplied cups were cheap plastic and looked dirty on the surface. It is in a convenient location, but I would expect better room setup for the price we paid.

We enjoyed a pleasant séjour in the hotel. It is close enough to walk to the Hauptbahnhof or there is the tram close by. The river and the old town are also in easy walking distance for my wife who has a problem walking.

When we arrived I was asked to pay CHF259.90 even though I had already paid for the room upfront on Trip.com. The lady who was checking me in mentioned city tax but I questioned it and it turns out she just charged me the full price for the room. She did not check the system properly and could not see that I had already paid for the room. Another lady came to help but she did so with an extremely rude attitude and seemed like she was annoyed with both her colleague and us. She even ignored some of my questions. When checking out the same lady helped us and she was rude again. They did refund me but this took some time which meant myself and my partner were stuck in the lounge on a hot day with our heavy baggage after just getting off a long journey waiting for this to be resolved. Following that they offered a free drink/snack which we appreciated However when we got to the room we found dried blood on the toilet seat. I informed reception of it and they didn't offer any further compensation. Just an apology and had a cleaner come to clean it. The room was ok other than that and the breakfast was fine.

Loved staying at the Ibis Styles Zurich City Center. Despite the modern smallish room, the location was excellent for walking, seeing the sites and close to the train station . Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good, albeit pricey ($30). It lacked the "usual" hotel amenities such as coffee machine in the room, small refrig or ice bucket, but the hotel offered free coffee in the lobby.

Good location and very good breakfast. Room rather small and I don’t personally like the arrangement with the shower and washbasin in the room with only a curtain to separate the bed. OK for one but would be difficult for a couple. Not much space for luggage.

The deco of the hotel is modern, trendy. The room has somewhat tight space. Our room has AC and is very clean. There is no safety box in the room and the towel rack is lacking. The shower floor can be slippery, not quite senior friendly. The street is quiet in the night which is a big plus. It's location is close to the train station.

I booked my trip and realised I had selected the wrong date in error. I booked for the same day at 20:30 at night so clearly a mistake. Straight away, I went through the booking website for help as well as calling the hotel 10 times (no answer) and had to email multiple times for a response. All communication was terrible and instead of a simple fix I instead paid for 2 rooms I never got to stay in and had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had to book into another hotel which was thankfully a good experience. As someone who stays away for work and leisure at least twice a month I will never stay at an ibis or Accor hotel again, that’s how much of an impact this has had.

The rooms were very small, crowded & hot. An area of our carpet was wet upon arrival & the entire room smelt musty & moldy. We made sure not to touch the carpet with any luggage or our feet. We were told that fans were available upon request, and after asking 3 times- the fans were never delivered. I wouldn’t recommend or stay at this hotel again.
