For a five-star hotel, I must say that my overall experience was disappointing for several reasons. Firstly, the shower water temperature was highly unstable. Despite setting it to a neutral level, the temperature fluctuated unpredictably between very cold and extremely hot, to the point where it could cause significant discomfort and even pose a risk of burns. Secondly, the breakfast was one of the most disappointing aspects of my stay. The food did not appear fresh, the vegetables were not properly chilled, and the overall selection was limited and lacking in both quality and taste. Thirdly, I noticed an issue with the toiletries provided. The shampoo appeared to be the same product as the body wash, and I observed housekeeping staff refilling both dispensers with the same liquid. This resulted in a poor experience, particularly as it left my hair feeling dry and coarse, forcing me to purchase my own shampoo from a supermarket. Overall, I expected a higher standard of amenities and service from a five-star hotel. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations.

The overall experience was significantly below the standards expected from a hotel operating under the Mövenpick brand, especially considering that this was not our first stay and that concerns from a previous visit had already been raised and discussed with the hotel team. Unfortunately, the issues we encountered during this stay were even more disappointing than those experienced previously. The most serious concern was the excessive noise generated by poolside events and parties, which continued for four consecutive days. The music was played at such an extreme volume that it could be clearly heard on the 12th floor and repeatedly disturbed our sleep. This was particularly frustrating as we were travelling with a three-month-old infant who required a quiet environment to rest. We contacted hotel management on a daily basis requesting that the volume be reduced, yet the disturbance continued throughout the events with little noticeable improvement. What makes this even more disappointing is that during our previous stay we had already experienced a similar issue, where noise from the nightclub located on the opposite side of the hotel disrupted our evenings on a nightly basis. Having returned despite that experience, we expected the hotel to place greater emphasis on guest comfort and noise management. Instead, we encountered another form of excessive noise disturbance. The second major issue involved housekeeping services. On multiple occasions, our room was not cleaned despite repeated reminders to the reception team. We found ourselves having to contact the hotel daily to request basic housekeeping services, something that should be automatically provided rather than repeatedly requested by guests. We specifically made those calls to avoid returning to the hotel late in the evening only to discover that the room had not been serviced. Nevertheless, there were occasions when we had to wait in the hotel lobby with our infant while housekeeping staff completed the cleaning, which was both inconvenient and unnecessary. To make matters worse, one of the explanations provided by reception was that the hotel was operating at full occupancy. While we appreciate the challenges associated with a busy period, this cannot reasonably justify the absence or delay of essential guest services. Additionally, for a hotel that promotes high standards of cleanliness and hospitality, we were surprised to find that waste bins in the room did not contain liners or garbage bags. While this may seem like a minor detail, it negatively impacts cleanliness standards and leaves an unfavourable impression regarding attention to detail. What is most disappointing is that these concerns were raised repeatedly throughout our stay, yet the response and corrective actions did not reflect the level of service expected from a five-star international hotel. As a returning guest, I genuinely expected a noticeable improvement in service and guest care. Instead, this experience reinforced the concerns from my previous visit and regrettably left me with little confidence in returning in the future. There are many hotels in Amman that place greater emphasis on guest comfort, service consistency, and overall hospitality. Based on my recent experiences, I will strongly consider those alternatives for future visits.
