The resort is beautiful and location is good but it has room for improvement. The resort is showing its age. The bathroom has mold on tile and grout and could use a good cleaning or remodel. A resort in this price range should not have these visible imperfections. The lamps in the rooms also have holes and tears in the shades and need to be replaced. They are storing mattresses on the balcony outside of rooms its not a good look to be out in the open. The resort also does not allow delivery from local restaurants which is understandable but they wont even allow guests to bring any food or drinks even if its leftovers from dinner at a local restaurant. That's a deal breaker for me and in this case I will avoid Movenpick in the future. I had stayed at Movenpick in Switzerland and the standard was up to par. The grounds and resort are beautiful and the breakfast was excellent. Dead sea is quite a walk down to beach but they offer golf carts to take you up and down as its a lot of stairs. The pools were also beautiful and seemed to be in good order. They close at sunset which I think should be extended to at least 11pm especially when its very hot at night. There are several properties along Dead Sea to choose from and at this point I would look at other options for the same price range. They charge a heavy price on food and drinks and if you have kids it can really get expensive if they dont like the food options. Overall the resort is very nice. I just think before you book they should disclose that no outside drinks or food may be brought in by guests. They have a tiny print note at security that says it but you would not see it if they didn't point it out. Reception didn't even disclose it at time of check in.

We spent the last day in Jordan at the Movenpick. It was a perfect place to relax before the long flight home. Nerwin made our anniversary special with roses and towel swans on the bed. Yahia A was very helpful.

We stayed here as part of a cruise excursion. Its location right on the Dead Sea, just a few minutes walk down to its own beach make it an ideal location. On arrival it all seems very much what you expect from one of the soulless resort hotels, but still very nice in the public areas. We were all given rooms in the Y block, which is a wing off of the main building. The whole wing is in desperate need of renovations, very tired worn out rooms, mold in the very old shower, toilet didn’t flush properly, lots of silly stuff that needs replacing, I gathered from other members of our group all their rooms were the same. We all overlooked a carpark, thank god we were only here for one night. This most definitely did not deserve to be listed as a 5 star property, and none of us would recommend it.

Excellent customer service. Liked that they had a golf cart service down and up to the Dead Sea, showers, and hand hose to spray off salt water after going into the water. The dinner buffet had lots of choices, but just ok.
