Evening meal was fantastic, room was basic and small, I saw no refrigerator, and room for two people only had one robe and slippers not that the robes fit us anyway, they seem to be one size not oversized. Breakfast was not so good, sausage's were tough, eggs were like rubber, bacon very salty, no black pudding.

Service from Dean and Yuen was personable and efficient. Hake and Rafi was lovely. I avoid hotel restaurants but this was excellent. The atmosphere is less sterile than most hotels and there is a warm and friendly atmosphere. I’d come again.

I had two rooms - my daughter & grandson were in room 301 - the shower was faulty & there was no hot water. They showered the 1st eve in my room. The fault was reported the next morn - but nothing was done & no one bothered to tell us so my daughter went in the shower & found it just the same. Both her & my grandson had to shower again in my room & the following morning. We did tell the duty manager that eve & he gave us a drink each but It simple wasn't good enough we paid for a facility that wasn't there. What with that & the poor state of the leisure facilities this is prob my last stay at a Mercure. However the staff & food is faultless. What the hotel lacks the staff help to overcome with friendliness & service

Visited the Restaurant and the service was quick and the staff were very friendly and attentive, I had the Chicken burger and the food was well cooked and piping hot. Chicken was very juicy and tender and the chips were well salted and golden in colour.
