The carpets could have done with a good deep clean. One of the bed side lamps didn’t work. The room could have done with a deep clean and the shower curtain had a few dark spots. The room was very warm and there was a pair of socks in the bushes just outside the window. I would stay again. The staff were friendly. The check in and check out was an easy process and the breakfast was delicious.

The staff here are excellent. There wasn't a member of staff that didn't make us feel welcome they were all really pleasant which makes a refreshing change! Food at the hotel was spot on, if not excellent. And the woodman serving food at really reasonable prices Spa treatments were very good

We arrived early and planned to eat lunch but as Accor members were given opportunity for early check in. Service (apart from over breakfast) was excellent. The only negative was our experience at breakfast. We appreciate that the hotel was busy but arrived at 8.45. There was nobody to greet us so we headed through. About 25% of the tables were unoccupied but not one was cleared and set. I found a staff member and asked for a table to be cleaned and reset but after some time I cleared it myself. There was no milk, glasses or cups left. It appeared there were not enough staff. The food was nice and it didn’t ruin anything.
