From Monday, February 17, 2025, local traffic routes will change due to the closure of the Kornhausbrücke. The route via the Bern-Wankdorf highway exit (2 km away) remains unchanged. From Bern train station, substitute bus 9 A (direction Schönburg/Viktoriaplatz) will take you to Viktoriaplatz in 5-10 minutes. The entrance of the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern is only 260 meters away. You will benefit from free use of public transport in Bern.

My stay at the Swissôtel Kursaal Bern was overall a positive experience. Friendly, helpful, competent staff at the front desk provided all the needed information about my stay as well making me aware of the possibilities available with using the public transportation. One small point of contention, however, and probably due to my misunderstanding of the terminology, was the bed. My reservation was for a double bed (200cm). I assumed this was 1 bed. It turned out to be 2 separate beds/mattresses. What would I have to reserve the next time to get a single bed/mattress? Looking forward to another stay at your hotel in the near future. Regards,
