I stay at this hotel often, but this time things were not ideal. The worst thing was obviously not having any water for a whole day, and the lack of hot water (when I asked reception they suggested I let the water run for at least 10 minutes to get hot water, which felt like an absolute waste)! The coffee at breakfast is terrible and the cafe in the lobby doesn’t start until later, when we’re all already out for the day. I understand that the lack of water for a day may have been an emergency, but the hot water issue and the coffee both should be fixed… I honestly will probably consider staying somewhere else from now on, even though I’ve been staying here once a month for the good part of the past 2 years…

I did not feel that I was staying in a five-star hotel. I had to request housekeeping to rotate the mattress because it was sagging noticeably on the side closest to the door, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on. In addition, there was no prayer mat provided in the room upon arrival. When I requested one, I was given a used prayer mat that had an unpleasant odor. Furthermore, the floor mat in the room appeared very old and worn out, which further detracted from the overall guest experience.

I booked the executive suite for 4 nights , it was as expected in term of cleanliness but the service was extremely lacking and unbefitting of a 5 star hotel to be honest. By “service” I mean in room service such as the 24 hrs in room menu which had so many options for food and drinks but only very few items are actually available . For instance the menu showed 10 kinds of fresh juices but they only had orange Juice. The breakfast buffet service was lacking as well , we asked for condiments and was completely ignored repeatedly. The pool place had the AC running on high settings which made us seriously worried about the kids getting sick.This wasn’t the first time either, the last time we visited they also had the AC running at the pool. To be fair the overall quality, quantity and taste of the food itself that we ordered through room service was exceptionally good. During Arafah day the 9th of thu-alhijah in which all muslim people fast , we were expecting the restaurant to accommodate us but unfortunately none of them was available during the fast breaking time and you guessed it room service had very few items available on its menu.
