I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay. As a Gold member, I requested a suitable room within the same category as my booking. Unfortunately, I was assigned one of the worst rooms available. After checking into the room, I noticed an unpleasant and unusual smell, which forced me to request a room change. I also asked about upgrading my room and was willing to pay the price difference. However, I was informed that no rooms were available, while I could clearly see available rooms listed online through Booking.com. This was quite frustrating. In addition, both the indoor and outdoor reception areas felt very dull and unwelcoming. During checkout, the receptionist thankfully discovered that I had been charged more than the correct amount at check-in. The difference was refunded, but such an error is surprising and should not happen. I am sharing these comments because I value the Accor brand and hope to continue having positive experiences in the future. I trust this feedback will be taken into consideration to help improve the guest experience.
