Great welcome on arrival from late flight to Manama, great breakfast! The bathroom was a little tired and requires updating.

After 6 day's work in Bahrain I wanted to decompress for a few days before returning home to the UK. The Movenpick satisfied the above brief perfectly. It is a 20 min taxi ride from the centre of town but a 5 min WALK from the airport. The room was quiet, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was perfect. There was tea, coffee and a kettle available in the room (essential for a Brit!). There was even a minibar. The breakfast buffet was superb with heaps of choice and the swimming pool was gorgeously refreshing. The only negative is: be aware that the hotel charges 5 BD for the airport shuttle, when Uber will cost 1.25BD or you can walk it in 5 minutes!
