Overall, the experience was positive, mainly thanks to the exceptionally kind and helpful staff, who were always attentive and professional.
Unfortunately, the property itself is a completely different story. The building is old, poorly maintained, and aesthetically very much past its prime. For a property of this level and price point, I found this particularly disappointing.
The food was also a major letdown. With the exception of the pastries, which were excellent and clearly reflected the work of a talented pastry chef, the rest of the food was of very low quality—cheap, basic, and far below what I would expect from such a prestigious property. I was genuinely surprised, and almost offended, that a structure of this calibre would offer food of such poor quality, especially at such a high price. It is honestly a shame.
My experience with the reservation process also left a bitter taste. My original booking was for July, but due to the conflict, I was forced to cancel. Instead of reimbursing me, the company was extremely rigid about the dates and insisted that I postpone my stay. In fact, they were initially reluctant even to allow the postponement. Given the circumstances, I found this approach very disappointing and lacking in flexibility.
I will never forget my experience at Sofitel, but unfortunately, not for the reasons I would have hoped. Considering the price, the condition of the property, the food quality, and the lack of flexibility from the company, I would not choose to stay here again.

The staff were supportive, the swimming pool was nice and clean, the room was fantastic, especially the view.
But here I would like to give the attention to the breakfast, it was one of my favourite breakfasts in my whole life, the food and the staff were perfect. And I would like to send my best regards to the eggs chef, she is supportive, doing her job in a very good way. And how delicious is the food is something I cannot describe.
I will give the stay 9.5/10

This has to be the most horrible experience I have ever had in a hotel in a long time I am typically never one to comment on service industry related issues because I understand the stress. However it is no excuse to treat your guests horribly I was a part of a bigger group for a wedding and the absolutely ridiculous amount of expectations from the guest that your hotel seems to have is beyond me especially when your service terrible at best. There are definitely a few workers that were lovely and I thank them dearly for their efforts but I would suggest you rethink the way you manage your hotel I was there for a wedding and I could not believe the way the bride and groom were being treated as if they were a burden along with all their guests. Absolutely unacceptable for Bahrains standards! This is not what Sofitel used to be!

Most of our stay was fine but the hotel rooms need to be updated and refurbished. Nothing major but small things like the lighting controls, shower heads, ahng shower heads need updating and replacing. The Breakfast was very nice and good variety. The pool was nice although the water could have been cooled more. The valet service was very slow especially during busy times. I had to wait 10min for my car on Friday. Other than this its was an enjoyable stay.

I booked my wedding with you 27.8.26 and the service overall was poor from everything. First of all, I had to fight for booking my rooms and guest rooms prior to my wedding, nothing was happening unless i called several times and fight for my reservations. Second of all, during the time of my stay, nothing was right. I had lunch and food at the pool area, I put it under my room and the waiter questioned why are you 3 people in a room when it a twin room? Why would he ask such a question when all he needed was a room number for food payment? and second of all, we are 2 people in the room so thats none of his business to quetion me. Third of all, during my checkout, Rowena who has been helpful, put my checkout at 3pm. 12:00 i have guest relations calling me and my guests to kick out of the hotel, and then when i informed them im part of late checkout, the hotel sends me a trainee at 2:10 and tells when are you leaving because this room is booked? What is the audacity that u send me a trainee to deal with it and is literally like standing waiting for me to leave the room? Im sorry, but never recommending anyone to book this hotel, never recommending anyone to do a wedding in this hall, never recommending the hall and wedding although its one of the most beautiful out there! Disgraceful how me and my guests were treated. Everything was slow in service from conceirge calls to bringing cars to my family who half of them are elderly people.

-The hotel staff were not friendly and not welcoming during the check-in.
-I arrived the hotel at 03:00 PM and my rooms were not ready, I got them around 04:45 PM and was no apology for the late or even offer any thing.
-The pool was dirty.
-The last day when I requested the trolley for the check out, I waited for almost one hour with no response even with many calls were made to the reception. On the other hand, I collected all my luggage and took them to the car without any help from the hotel staff.
-During the check-out, the employee in the reception just took the room keys and not even ask me the usual question “How was your stay?”.
I will not stay in this hotel in the future rather than recommend it to anyone.

I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Zallaq in the Opera Suite with the Gulf theme. The suite was beautiful, spacious, and had its own private pool, with an excellent level of privacy.
A special thank you to Amin at reception. He remembered me immediately and welcomed me back, which was such a lovely personal touch. He gave me two suite options and recommended the best and most private one, and his recommendation was perfect.
A special mention also goes to Wajh “Bulbul,” who welcomed me on arrival with Arabic coffee. His warm smile and genuine hospitality made me feel as though all of Bahrain was welcoming me. Such a beautiful first impression.

### Hotel Stay Review
Overall, my stay at Sofitel was very pleasant, and I really enjoyed my experience at the hotel. However, unfortunately, I had an unpleasant experience with the breakfast restaurant supervisor, Neeraj.
I found his attitude towards guests to be unfriendly and unwelcoming. He was not smiling or approachable, and unfortunately, I felt that the way he treated guests was discriminatory.
I asked him for a cup of coffee in a paper cup, and he told me, *“I’ll give you one now, but it’s not allowed.”* I understand that there may be hotel policies regarding the use of paper cups, but if it is not allowed, it should simply be explained politely. There is no need to make the guest feel as if they are being given a special favor.
When I told him that there was no need to mention it in that way, his response was, *“You are not understanding.”* I found this comment very disrespectful and inappropriate, especially coming from a supervisor who is dealing directly with hotel guests.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and looks into the way guests are treated by the restaurant staff. The overall hotel experience was very good, but respectful and professional customer service is an essential part of a guest’s experience, and this particular interaction was disappointing.
