We’ve been fortunate enough to be frequently staying in 5 star hotels whenever we go for vacations (Alhamdulillah), so we can pretty much do a comparison of where Sofitel lies when it comes to our hospitality experience in general. I’m not much happy to mention that it didn’t quite much live up to our expectations. Following are some of the most prominent reasons to that: 1) Basement Parking Area was extremely congested. You either have to pray that you end up finding the right spot or will have to manage squeezing in your car into one of the extremely narrow ones available and then count on God’s mercy to save it from being scratched by others opening their doors. 2) 24 hours after checking-in to our room, we realized that the refrigerator was not even plugged in. We had kept our bottles inside and only after spending a whole day did we realize that they were not getting cooled. Upon calling the room service, it was plugged in, followed by the room service guy asking us why we didn’t inform them to connect plug earlier upon check-in - like seriously? Do you, claiming to offer a 5-star hospitality experience really expect the guest to inspect the electrical appliances upon checking in and tell you what needs to be fixed and what not? 3) WORST PART - THE INTERNET. I had stayed in Fairmont earlier and they too had the “free” version of the internet by Accor but that felt more like a high speed cable net. But here in Sofitel, we were literally struggling with having video-calls back with our family. It was super slow and would occasionally disconnect as well. I had to rely on my international roaming while my wife used my hotspot.

The room service was unfortunately bad Ordered an orange juice on friday night and made a checkout on Saturday and havent received it.. also before checking out i ordered the concierge to get my luggage as well some drinking water the concierge arrived but the water didnt until i spoke to them around 2 more times

had a generally good stay, but there are a couple of issues that need to be addressed. First, the breakfast system has changed from a buffet to only two set options, and the service was quite slow. Second, there was a persistent issue with the toilet flush button in my room, which didn't work most of the time. I hope management looks into these points to improve the guest experience.
