Well located hotel which had a great room and breakfast spread. Did request alternate pillows which were never delivered until we had to follow up and the dinner was a little undercooked. The welcome gift however was very nice and thoughtful and will be something to cherish for a long time, thank you!

Lynytravels Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

I stayed here with a friend, it was a great base, close to central station and the centre of Amsterdam. We stayed room only so can't rate the food. Room was spacious with a beautiful view. The hotel is clean with friendly staff. We enjoyed relaxing in the sauna, it is spacious, clean and inviting. I really enjoyed the special touches of free hair brush and razors. It's small things like this that make your life easier away from home.

Lovely short stay

Just a one night stay, room was comfortable, spacious, with great views of the city. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Could leave luggage whilst waiting for our coach and on arrival which was really helpful, especially given the wet weather. Only slight negative was the wait on checking out - needed more desks open.

Unclear messaging

Enjoyed the room and location. The only issue I had was with the messaging on the card in my room that invited me for free drinks and snacks during happy hour. We had drinks at the bar and also dinner. Showed the bartender our room key and ordered our drinks. After dinner I went to pay the bill I was surprised that we were charged for our drinks. The bartender came over to explain that since our tab was closed out at 6:02 which was after happy hour ended we were charged for the drinks. After I said that he closed the tab after we sat for dinner, the manager then informed me that the free drink offer is only for beer & wine. I replied that the card in the room only stated drinks & snacks. It’s not that we couldn’t afford our drinks ( we still would have had them ) it’s that the hotel’s unclear message left in our room along with the bartender’s error for not expressing what the free drink choices were caused the confusion.
