The hotel was well located off the highway for an overnight stop on our journey between Italy and France. The room was spacious and we liked that there was a bath and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and our son especially like that they gave him some small chocolates / sweets at check in and out. Great choice of TV channels too. The only negatives for us were that we didn’t dine at the hotel because it was a bit pricey, and more importantly our sleep quality would have improved with better pillows. The pillows are so soft that they provide no support at all and it felt like our heads were going straight through them to lay flat on the bed. This in comparison to the relatively hard mattresses meant it wasn’t the most comfortable of sleep.

We've stayed here before to break up our journey from Belgium to Italy. Previously slept well but this time we were in room 502 right opposite the noisy lift ...every time someone used the lift there was a loud motor sound. Also the cleaning lady seemed to think it was a good idea to vacuum outside our bedroom at 21.30 when my husband and child were asleep.

Well located hotel with very tasty breakfast. Easy check in. But some areas has to be improved: 1. Not working AC!! It’s already second time we face it. They claim for environment reasons they do not turn it on unless outside temperature is above certain degree. But it was extremely hot inside room, and window cannot be open wide enough (and even if it can, it is jot safe to open it with small kid). Please change you policy!!! Reference should be temperature inside, not outside!!!!! 2. We were having breakfast around 8am, but the all the dishes was moved to another room while we still were there. Which created unnecessary frictions for us

After making my reservation, I immediately called the hotel to make sure I wouldn't get a room with a small window. I was on hold for at least 7 or 8 minutes with the agent who, seeing my Diamond status, told me I would have a full-size window. Upon arrival, around 9:00 PM, I asked the receptionist if I did indeed have a full-size window. He didn't know and asked his colleague, who confirmed it was. When I got to the room... well, no, it was an angled window, so not full-size.

1) We felt that the hotel is located in a good location but we had very narrow windows on the corner of the room and did not have any views at all. We checked with the reception about our concern but they could not resolve it. 2) The other side of the bed was hard to reach and often I banged my head on the bent wall side near it. 3) The hotel is hard to reach from the railway station or bus stand due to the requirement of steep climb up the hill and there is no shuttle provided to the nearby railway station or bus stop. Taxi ride to the Egerkingen train station costs CHF 10 and this adds up to the cost.

Excellent hotel, with comfortable rooms, BUT when you stay at the hotel you have to park. 17 Swiss francs for car parking is over the top. Not impressed. When we started staying here it was 5 Swiss francs (reasonable), now - not so reasonable.

A very frosty experience with the reception attendant. And a ladybird infestation outside room 349 (if I remember the number correctly). It was an unusual reception experience and unlike anywhere we have been before in terms of warmness. As a family.
