This was my second d trip to the hotel. I really enjoyed the spa facilities, the bed was super comfortable and the staff were very helpful. It’s also great that parking is available and it is at no extra cost.

There was no information in the room relating to services in the hotel or how to get help. Restaurant closed, continuous dripping tap, shower temperamental and flooded bathroom when shower in use, sink plug ineffective, insufficient number of dressing gowns (1 for 2 of us) and not of adult size. TV couldn’t tune for ITV. When the next door room used the bathroom the plumbing was really noisy. Staff friendly but didn’t know the hotel number. The bed was clean and comfortable. Not aware dogs could’ve been in the room before us. In need of refurbishment. Hotel not as website appears, we never saw the beautiful building which is reserved for events, bedroom overlooked car park. Quite frankly we were disappointed.

Great location for a spa hotel, lovely grounds and building, functional gym, nice but small pool and decent spa facilities. Our bedroom was a decent size, twin beds pushed together for a very large double, unfortunately our bathroom albeit clean and functional, the toilet seat was loose and unsafe, told reception on first day, still not fixed by time we left. No hand soap. Food from main bar restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Staff nice. Breakfast was really good, but no pork free / veggie option for sausages. All in all it was still a good 2 night stay.

The hotel staff were all lovely & very helpful The room was tired & cold & felt damp I was told you didn’t have pet free rooms with low profile showers so I had a room with a bath with overhead shower which is quite dangerous for someone of 75 The room 408 had a generator buzzing all night which made sleep difficult The breakfast was Exellent

Super friendly and helpful staff, and easy parking. Our room had was very spacious with a great view of the lake and beds were comfortable. But our room was a bit dated and worn (particularly the carpet). The bathroom did not have a exhaust fan, so it stayed very steamy, the tub was super sliperly, and some of the toiletries were empty

The food was excellent, staff were really nice, especially Lisa and the restaurant staff. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade at check-in. Lisa made us feel incredibly welcome! The room was excellent. It would have been nice if the spa was bigger with more facilities, but apart from that great overall experience.

Staff were very good. Restaurant food was very poor quality, it seemed like it was all pre-prepared and not very well presented. The food lacked much love from a chef. Room was fine though a little strange, it contained 2 bar stools!. Also 8 coat hooks around the walls, it was a little dated, good views of the lake.

The location was perfect for my work. The hotel should not advertise that it has a gym, there were only three free weights and the equipment was so old and pretty unusable. The wifi in reception was good, but so slow in my room I had to hot spot to my phone to work at night.

Overall I was fairly satisfied with my stay. There were lots of positives - easy check in, clean room with amenities, range of available spaces for booking food, friendly staff, excellent food and pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately, a few things detracted from the overall experience, mainly spa based. Firstly, the ‘one size fits all’ robes definitely do not. It was highly embarrassing to not have a robe that fit properly or did up. I have been to spas where they offer a range of sizes, which is a much better system and causes less discomfort. Secondly, my partner was told that there weren’t any locker keys available for the men’s changing rooms so he had to leave his door unlocked. Also, the overflow grate on the jacuzzi was all broken and floating around inside the tub. This made entering and exiting the jacuzzi quite precarious. I didn’t expect to see as many children in a spa as there were either. Finally, it would have been nice to have an option for the massage - relaxing, harder pressure etc as we both felt that it was quite painful and not at all relaxing.
