I stayed at ibis Budapest Castle Hill for 5 nights. Check-in went smoothly, the room was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was good with a variety of choices, and the staff were very pleasant. On one occasion, after housekeeping had cleaned the room, they didn't refill the shower gel or hand soap. We mentioned it to the reception staff on our way out, and everything had been refilled by the time we returned. The only thing we didn't notice until later was that the coffee station hadn't been replenished, although I'm not sure whether this isn't part of their regular service or if they simply forgot. There was also a small issue with the late check-out. I had paid for it in advance, but the reception staff didn't seem to be aware of this, so my key card stopped working. However, this was resolved quickly by the reception. I also lost one of my two key cards, and they replaced it without any hassle. The hotel itself is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood that is very well connected to every part of the city by bus, tram, and metro. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay here again.

A great location at the end of the M2 line, perfect for getting to/from the Hungaroring. The hotel itself was clean and well kept and my room was a fantastic size! Had everything I needed. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again

My AC did not work in my first room. Asked to be moved to another room. New key handed to me. I walked in on a couple in bed!! Front desk acknowledged they goofed thinking the room was unoccupied. 2nd (or 3rd) room’s AC was ok. I hung do not disturb/clean room signage on new room. Returned to find a housekeeper in my room. Breakfast was marginally ok. Coffee was 1 star from machine. Location was fine.

Got a very pleasant room with some surprise amenities, with an excellent view to the Castle hill and the Buda mountains. Well designed, very clean and comfortable, what else should I wankt :) Staff was also very much polite and they just did their job very well. I still recommend this hotel with a very good heart. And don't forget, train, metro, tram, bus only five minutes walk, Castle hill above some ten minutes maybe. Airport with metro and bus around one hour ride, so don't be scared that the hotel is not on the Pest side - maybe it is an advantage :)

The AC in the room never worked properly. It is very hard to sleep with the room hot. I called the front desk, and they said the AC will only work if the temperature outside got warmer. The room was never comfortable to sleep due to the temperature. There should be ice machines at least on one floor so guest can access ice during warm weather. It would be nice to have mini fridges in the room to keep cold beverages. The linens on bed are not soft; they are not very comfortable.

While there are few thigs what the hotels cant change like people smashing doors and are loud on the hallway after 10PM, Hotel it self can maybe better isolate rooms from noise. Other part I did not enjoy, there were repeatedly smell of smore on the 1st floor walkway. Last but not least room it self, I didnt eat nuts, but they were in the floor, so questionable how is the room cleaning done. Next was the bathroom. End of life cycle and smells like mold...room 124

Check in was frustrating because I called ahead to see if I could check in early. Was told yes. Arrived, told not ready until 3, came back at 3, room still not ready. During breakfast in the middle of eating, was asked by staff to move my seat, did. Asked again by someone else. Customer service is lacking here.
