My stay at the hotel was not satisfactory. The breakfast was very basic and repetitive. During our 4-night stay, there was little to no variety, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel considering the price paid. The experience at reception was mixed. While some staff members were polite and helpful, one receptionist was particularly rude. The room temperature was centrally controlled and remained very high (around 28°C), making it uncomfortable. When we asked for assistance, we were told to open the windows. I explained that I have a pollen allergy that causes breathing difficulties, especially at night, but was then told I would need a doctor’s certificate to justify not opening the windows. This response was surprising and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard. Additionally, the bathroom design lacked proper doors, which resulted in water spreading across the floor after showering. The sofa beds in the family room were also uncomfortable. Overall, I am very dissatisfied with both the quality of the facilities and parts of the service. Based on this experience, I would not choose to stay at Novotel again.

We had a wonderful view of the Danube River and the Parliament building across from the hotel. The staff were very nice and the meals that we had there were delicious. Our room was comfortable and spacious.

We really enjoyed our time here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and we couldn't have asked for better. Also, the hotel is only a few minutes from the train station and tram stops which made getting around very easy for us. Take the time to walk the area it is in as well. Lovely architecture. (Also, the best view of the Hungarian parliament. At night it is stunning!)
