Friendly and very helpful - particularly stand out person at reception was Vanda. Clean rooms, lovely breakfast choice and quality, cool and relaxed vibe, great location for easy walking to anywhere in the city centre. Great choice of local restaurants and wine bars near by.

Lovely hotel ambience. Well located. Lots of public transport choices nearby. Staff very good and friendly with excellent English also. The rooms are very quiet and spacious.

Early check-in was available. The room was a good size with plenty of storage, mini fridge and safe and was spotless. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.

Windows cannot be opened

My stay of 4 nights started of wrongly. The room, like any other in this hotel, has windows that cannot be opened. So, you rely on the air-conditioning, which I hate. First thing I do in a hotelroom is to switch it off. Just after unpacking I went to the reception to ask if the window could be opened as there was a lock at the bottom. All I needed was a key to unlock it. Not possible was the short answer of the receptionist. After a bad night I went to the reception again and explained my situation, saying that I would look for another hotel for the remaining 3 nights if it could not be fixed. This receptionist was more willing to listen and understand. She talked to the hotel manager and they gave me an upgrade, for free, to the suite with a terrace where there was a proper door (that could be opened ;) ). My remaining 3 nights were superb. Breakfast is great with lots of choice. Hotelbar food was of less quality. I would have give 5 starts based on the last 3 nights, but the receptionist on the first night brought the score down plus the fact that windows cannot be opened.
