Blackones Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Room 1045 private rental thru Stayz was absolutely disgusting… had to clean tub before using shower.. main lights in kitchen, hall, bathroom not working… stove oven taped up by sticky tape, a/c ducts not clean full of dust, by end of 10 days coughing, bedside lamps fire hazard as broken.. remote slipped down back of lounge when lifting cushion papers & filth

The hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful pool. The staff however are generally unhelpful and reluctant to provide support. There was one amazing staff member but the rest really didn’t want to help. The rooms are really run down and dirty, the floor has nail clippings and the skirting boards were so thick with dust, they need a deep clean and are in desperate need of renovation.

This was meant to be a surprise for my daughters 18th. When arrived they upgraded us, which I wish they never had! The room was so run down and dirty, it was disgusting! Prior to this I had called and made a booking requesting a clean apartment as we had a bad experience once in Nelsons Bay. Two day before arriving I phoned to make sure we don't have the same experience as we have bad allergies. When I went don't to address my concerns I was told they couldn't do anything to the next day. I phoned reservations the next morning and the lady that answered was so rude! I went down to reception demanding someone come look at the room. We were eventually moved at 1pm to another room. There was a lively girl by the name of Tia who was really understanding. My son ended up with a servere sinus infection and ended up at the doctors! We all had to take antihistamine the day we arrived. My husband was looking for a night chemist. We lost 3 days because of this experience. My poor 18yr old ended up in tears on the first day. Her room had spider webs nside the window, carpet looked like it had vomit and smelt, longed were disgusting, fridge was so dirty. Lots of photos trajectory for proof!
