I had a great stay with my girlfriend at novotel surfers. The rooms were great, view was amazing, bathroom somewhat reno'd. They also gave us the most amazing welcome package with lollipops, lollies a nice card and some profiteroles!! The staff were so friendly and lovely. However, (this is probably a fault of the floors themselves) but the laminate/vinyl floors seemed to be quite dirty and I think thats probably because they're so hard to clean but walking around on them gave us a little bit of dirty feet! The other thing with it being peak school holiday season was that not all the lifts were working which meant a bit of a wait time (but hey that happens!) Overall, wonderful stay! Thanks team :)

Was a stay without too many faults except that the rooms need to be updated. Tired but all functional. Staff responsive. We had family rooms on Level 34 which was spacious. As Accor members we would consider staying again especially if rooms get a refresh. One thing needing urgent update is the single glazed windows. Noise from ground level was always coming into the rooms.

So close to everything. Right by the beach and tram, lots of shops including a big Woolies. Loved having a swim and spa at night with all the building lights. Staff very helpful. Great stay.

We had multiple problems during our stay: - The TV connectivity system didn’t work; even after we reported the issue and it was supposedly fixed, it remained nonfunctional. - The kettle was faulty. The first time my wife tried to pour, water leaked from the bottom and nearly scalded her foot. After we had the kettle replaced, the problem recurred, indicating a poor‑quality kettle. - The phone was broken for three days, leaving us unable to use room services or, more critically, to contact emergency services if needed. - The curtain repeatedly came off its track with any touch. Despite multiple complaints, it was never repaired, making balcony access hazardous.

One of our regular accor properties to stay at during school holidays, the Novotel Surfers Paradise was extremely busy, as it is for most of our visits. We did have to wait until 310pm to check-in to our room, which was a little disappointing, apparently due to short staff. We are always thankful for our room upgrade (thanks Lorrelle), and a few drink vouchers to tie us over whilst waiting for our room. The room was clean and well stocked, with lovely ocean views from level 22. Breakfast was adequate, a buffet with a decent variety of options. It's not high end, but it fits in with the Novotel profile. Barista coffee is available for platinum members, but only certain staff offer it upon arrival to the restaurant. During this stay, we were only offered it once, on our last day, due to the change in staff at the desk. We had to request it for the first three days, from the same staff member each day, whom didn't check their system when offering our room number, and we felt a little uneasy ordering from him, but at least we did receive our coffee. Pool area has quite a few missing, loose, broken tiles both inside the pool itself, and the pavers around the pool. This really needs to be addressed. Maintenance included painting and facility refurbishments are ongoing, will be great when all complete. Check out quick and easy.

While your staff are great, and the rooms comfortable, I was very disappointed with the lack of handicapped parking (which I use) that is close to the lift. Just one space. I had to find a handicapped space in the shopping center parking, and it took me half an hour to struggle with my bag to the lift access. Another guest ended up helping me which was very kind. This is very unsatisfactory and I am not even sure if it's legal with regard to providing adequate parking at the hotel for people with disabilities. I understand it's the shopping center car park, but there should be more disabled parking close to the hotel entry/access for those of us who can't walk long distances.

The Novotel makes itself to be an upscale hotel, we booked a superior spa room with beach view, our room was so outdated definitely didn’t look like the photos, paint removed off walls everywhere, the spa was stained with rust coming from the jets. We had absolutely no sleep as the rooms once the doors are shut are not helped with sound, music from other rooms and people until early hours of the morning. I wouldn’t suggest staying here unless you are wanted to party all night and not sleep.

Even though I paid the parking fee, the car kept getting stuck on the circuit breaker every time it went off the floor, so I had to keep making calls. And the children's meal expenses were paid more, so I was told to spend the difference, but it was paid again.

Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing and definitely not worth the price we paid. The room was very dated and looked tired and old. The shower was extremely small and uncomfortable to use, and the balcony was much smaller than expected. There was also a lot of noise coming from downstairs, making it difficult to relax and enjoy our stay. The lift was another major issue. It was old, slow, and we regularly had to wait at least 15 minutes for it, which became very frustrating throughout our stay. To make matters worse, breakfast was included in our booking, but when we went down for breakfast, the staff could not find our reservation and asked us to pay again. After waiting around 20 minutes, they finally realized that breakfast had already been paid for. This was embarrassing, inconvenient, and completely unnecessary.

Balcony door latch faulty, when a breeze came door would always open, aircon was stuck on cold, response from reception was long wait times. It seemed an issue to get a room another room which had air-conditioning in working order. Was told I was upgraded, having stayed in Novotel accommodation before the upgraded room is a standard room elsewhere. Very disappointing as it was our wedding anniversary, and my wifes birthday. With the long wait time for an answer from reception I had to cancel a dinner booking.
