We stayed in R1204, overlooking the pool, a single room with queen bed, no kitchenette. Overall the room was good, but had a tiny bathroom, not much bigger than a cruise ship. The bed was comfy, balcony not large but OK to sit and have coffee. A/C was a little noisy but worked well. The fridge seemed to work intermittently, and produced a lot of internal water. Hot water was very good, and the shower stall was large (no bath), taking up almost half the bathroom. The vanity unit was near useless, having no drawer and an underneath space taken up by towels and toilet rolls. There was no shelf. We could not tell that the extractor fan was working, as with a shower, the bathroom filled with steam. On a Sat night, the room was noisy until about 0300. These were passing things though. The hotel location was very good, with many surrounding restaurants, a Woolworths below. and close to the light rail and the beach. Check carefully before booking if there is good access to the pool, as (Jan 2026) they are doing renovations and closing the pool between 1000 and 1600.

The overall stay was impressive, comfortable and nice. The penthouse layout and view was amazing! We stayed in penthouse 3602 and it was beautiful. We did however book and request for 3601 prior to check-in for the direct ocean view, and was not provided an explanation here when we checked in. I also suggest additional knowledge training for hotel staff in terms of the inclusions of the penthouse. That is, we were told differing information in regards to complimentary morning pastries and mini bar inclusions on multiple occasions which led to expectations not being met. I also suggest a penthouse priority phone line for room service as there were 2 attempts during the stay were we couldn't reach reception or room service over the phone. At one time I had to go down to the lobby cafe to request for a bucket of ice as I couldn't reach any staff over the phone. Lastly, wifi reception was poor and I guess it could be the multiple floors within the penthouse. Something to look into for future guests.

Well located however the noise at night even with the sliding door closed til 5am in the morning was annoying and would reconsider staying here again. The rooms where good size and refreshed however the cleaning of the rooms daily was terrible; the floors had sand constantly on them. There is lots of renovations happening but you can still keep the pool area clean please focus on this as its the only place in the resort that your guest will go and it does not look inviting from when you walk out the doors located on level 5.
