Good stay at the Chen. Beautiful clean interiors and a wonderfully convenient location. We were just missing cutlery and not sure why so that was really the only downfall.

The hotel was pretty and had an amazing view. Rooms were below average with dust on top of the TV, a lot of dirt under beds, coffee machine didnt work and leaked water all over the counter and finally just half a role of toilet paper for a 4 day stay.

I’m afraid the room was far too noisy for me. It is positioned right at the lights, so constant car and motor bike noise on take off. Also the perforated guard on the balcony makes a high pitched noise when windy. Would have appreciated a microwave, as hotel does not provide food onsite. I am a mature person so perhaps not your target market. Staff were excellent and helpful and I was able to book in early.

Staff were very lovely and friendly, however felt really disappointed at how unclean it was. We stayed 4 nights and not once did anyone make up our room or empty our rubbish bins. When we asked for bins to be emptied staff did so but left dirty towels on floor and just took rubbish.

Too terrible!!!Been stolen and broken the car window in this hotel!!! I booked the Chen hotel in Melbourne from Agoda. And the car window was broken and stolen everything in the hotel car park!!! Lost some cash, the ID and credit card. The robber used my credit. When I founded this happened I told the reception ASAP. The staff told me I need to call the police and contact the manager by myself. The manager is too busy to come the hotel !This happened to me is usually!Usually happen here!!And told me you need sometime to calm down! Excuse me?!! Until now No apologies, no call! Nothing! My BMW X5 ‘s window need $1000 to fix! Unbelievable!!! The guy came into the car park which is been locked at 5:30am and tooks one and half hours to check every car and broken them but no one know! Nobody care the customer lost their money in this hotel!!! I need to report to the police,call The insurance,the bank, the Vicroads...... This is the worst day I lived in Melbourne for 10 years...... The important part is the hotel don’t care!!! Until now I haven’t received any care from the hotel!! Because the staff tell me this is usually happen in their hotel! That’s normal! That’s the worst hotel I even choose in my 30 years life! If you choose it you will be regretted!!! Who would have thought my car window would be smashed with lots of personal belongings lost, in a secured underground car park of the hotel!?

Close to Box Hill Hospital and Box Hill centre. Clean, and was very quiet in spite of being so near busy road. I travelled with my wheely walker and the staff bent over backwards to make me comfortable.

We had a wonderful time when we stayed at The Chen for a night this Friday. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, friendly, efficient and attention to details. Very smooth check in process. Then the room was beautifully designed, spacious, clean and well functioned. And the most amazing part is the rooftop pool. We would definitely recommend to friends and would come back again for sure

Enjoyed a couple of nights with the kids whilst visiting grandparents. Staff were very thoughtful and helpful, making our stay at The Chen really enjoyable. The rooftop pool was magical at sunset, a perfect end to hot Melbourne days.
