Nice and new apartments. Within 10 min walk to Caulfield Train Station and 5 mins to the bus that I needed. Bottle shop 1 min walk (next door) and Coles near the train station. Overall a good location for transport but not for eating out at nice restaurants! The apartment was small in regard to it was long and narrow but it was spotlessly clean and new so no complaints there. I even had a balcony and as I was on level 9 it was unobstructed views for miles, once you looked passed the train line and I could see the sea to the right. If you're a light sleeper though I would request a room on the other side of the train station (i.e. not on Dandenong Rd) as there were goods trains during the night which woke me up. I also had a noisy neighbour but that's not the fault of the Sebel! Only thing missing is a restaurant/bar as I've stayed in other Sebel apartments and they did have these amenities. Travelling on business the last thing I want to do is cook so that was my only downside to staying here as there aren't any nice restaurants in walking distance. (Lots of cheap most takeaway places near the train line) if you like that. Unfortunately I only spent 3 nights due to COVID-19 meaning I had to get home earlier than planned. I lost my Accor member 'free night' and the staff didn't know how to credit my account back but at least I didn't lose any $$$$ as such but it's a shame under the current climate that my free room couldn't be carried over for once I can travel again post COVID-19 restrictions. So overall, would I stay again? If I had to I suppose I would as it was clean and the staff were friendly enough but if I am only staying for a few nights again (which is typical for business) due to the fact of not having anywhere onsite or close by to eat at night then I wouldn't return. I'm not going to go to the trouble of buying in groceries for short term stays.

Check in was efficient and welcoming. We were there for the Grand Prix which was subsequently cancelled, payment was taking in full on arrival, so I assumed we had not option to cancel our remaining nights. Room was good overall, though small, I think I'd only book the three bed apartment in future just to have a bit of space to move. The block of chocolate left in the room was a nice touch given there is very little benefit for Diamond members when staying here. I requested a rollaway bed for Friday and Saturday nights as my parents might have been staying for one or both nights, however they didn't due to the GP cancellation. The rollaway bed was there for the entire duration of our stay, so left very little room. Super disappointed to come home late Saturday night, after being out all day, to find housekeeping had not touched our room so no beds were made nor was there any fresh linen. Given the focus on hygiene and cleanliness at this time, I was pretty shocked and disappointed. I think this is the first time in all my years of staying in Accor Hotels that housekeeping have missed a room altogether. We decided to leave very early Sunday, foregoing our last paid night. Upon checkout, I did not receive a copy of my invoice nor was I asked how our stay was. She took the key and said thank you, that was it.

Check in was quick and easy, parking available at a reasonable cost, location good depending on where you want to be but was fine for me. Nice to have facilities including a kitchen an washing machine. The only thing missing was a decent coffee machine which should certainly be provided. I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite which i did not need, the master bedroom was very small and tight, not really enough room to comfortably walk around the bed but for short term stays very comfortable bed and facilities. Warning, no food and beverage on site.

Clean, quite, rooms well equiped as an apartment, bed comfortable, desk staff helpful.

We stayed at the Sebel Malvern in a two bedroom suite for one night. The room was a great size and had a fantastic view towards Melbourne city. The hotel had good parking - only $10 for Accor members and is very close to Chadstone shopping centre. Would definitely stay again.

Staying on the 14 floor promised a quiet room. However, there was a loud humming noise until 2pm on the two nights I stayed. I therefore got no sleep. Other rooms I’ve stayed in before on the 3rd and 8th floors were much quieter.

We had a very good time at the Sebel in Malvern, but it wasn't without its challenges. When we got into our first room, it was raining, and t he blaclony above us was leaking so we couldn't get to walk out the door without getting wet. When we were moved to a new apartment, the floor creaked every step we took. We got used to this. Also the kitchen tap was very loose and needed some maintenance before it would finally fall over it seemed. Having said that, we loved the bed, and in general, it suited our needs and the location means we will probably return again. In addition however, having a room on the rail and highway side is very noisy and something needs to be done to lessen this. A room on the eastern side may not have as good a view, but it is certainly quieter
