The location of the Hotel Chadstone is perfect. We held our conference here in August and while we usually conference overseas, the Hotel Chadstone truly amazed us with the service and the food was also spectacular. The hotel staff could not do more for our group and met all our expectations. Thank you and we will definitely be returning.

No valet, took ages to get into the car parking below because the boom gate wasnt worked and the button used to contact someone just kept ringing out. No one was answering. No breakfast in room dining when I specific told the gentleman on the phone whilst booking that I would be in a meeting and therefore would not get a package with breakfast but would dine in. He never mentioned this was not an option. Very limited menu for lunch. Took over 45 minutes to get cutlery brought up to the room. Requested and paid for late checkout (even though the hotel was empty) and still had room service barge in to clean the room as they thought we had left. Room was set to "private" which they ignore. Post this, our card for entering the room was cancelled as it had time out and no late checkout was assigned to it. Went to the roof top bar for dinner, only 3 tables and yet the service was excruciatingly slow. We had to wait over 20minuteds just for water.

Stayed for 3 nights. The decor and location of the hotel is superb. However on each day there were several house cleaning issues which made our overall stay disappointing. These issues I mentioned in detail to Lucas the day manager.

A relaxing experience

We had a great stay. This is the second time we have stayed. The first time was in February and the second time in August. We did notice that the hotel wasnt as clean in our recent stay, compared to when we stayed in Feb. For example when we were in the pool area we had to ask staff to come and clean up bandaids that were left around the pool - there were 3 in total in very obvious locations. And also the windows in the pool area were very grimy which unfortunately is very noticeable.

My daughters and I came for the weekend to experience the hotel and celebrate my 60th birthday. The booking staff and reception staff were so lovely and very accommodating and informative. Upon arrival, we were met by the Concierge and our car was valet parked, and our luggage was brought up to our suite and room, which were beautiful. We headed to the Holistic Retreat for a Girls Day out package, which was absolutely sensational; the professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail were exemplary. We then headed to the pool and had a lovely swim. As mentioned, we were celebrating my birthday, and upon returning to our suite, I found a lovely selection of cakes for afternoon tea and a very nice card, Thank you very much. However, that's when our bubble burst. We had made a booking for the outdoor cocktail bar to have a pre-dinner cocktail. However, when we got there, we were ushered to the couch, which I queried and was told that it wasn't open. However, I did see quite a few people go into the area and the bar manned. This was disappointing; however, we ordered our wine and cocktails and also a cheese platter. Some 45 minutes later, we asked where the cheese platter was as we had a dinner reservation. The waiter inquired and told us it would be up shortly! We then asked if they could alert the restaurant to advise them of our dilemma, and we would be there shortly. I was promptly told to call them on my phone!. This was not good customer service, so my daughter went to the bar and inquired if they could fulfil our request, which they did immediately without hesitation. The cheese platter arrived, and finished our drinks, and then headed downstairs; upon arrival at the restaurant, I headed in to use the bathroom, when I was abruptly stopped and was told that the toilets were outside in the foyer, to which I replied that I was dinning in the restaurant and as I had been there before I was aware of their location—an insulting experience for the start of our celebratory dinner. However, we sat down, and the menus were thrust into our hands, and the waiter hovered. We ordered our appetisers/entrees. Three of the four dining were Gluten Free, which we had advised on booking and over the telephone when I confirmed and ordered the meal. Only to receive quantities in reverse. When we queried this, we were treated with a huff and a puff, and they were removed and replaced. Very quickly after these plates were on the table, the main meals arrived. We then ordered wine to go with the meal and set about to chat and enjoy our evening. However no sooner than the plates were removed the bill was placed in the centre of the table with no offer of dessert or coffee or even an explanation. When I quiered this I was told that we were late and they needed the table. Whilst I do understand the restrictions at the moment, there are a few steps that were lost here on our dinning experience. We were not informed of this when we arrived or had the situation explained when the bill was plonked on the table. I asked to talk to the manager who advised me that he was unaware of the experience that we had received and as we were in house he was happy to send dessert to our room. On a normal dinner occasion I would have said that was fine, however this was my 60th birthday celebration with my daughters, and I felt that the staff were rude and we were an imposition to them by being there. I also felt that I was ripped off the celebratory happy birthday song as my daughter had candles in her bag to place on my dessert. As an Accor Vacation Club Traveller level and Accor Plus for over 25 years, I felt that this experience was not that worthy of the Accor brand; it was a celebration and it was important to me left a sour taste.

The check in process, including valet parking was good. I was utterly appalled with the way the swimming pool COVID restrictions were handled. Breakfast was good. At check out, I wasn't even asked how my stay was.

Chosen for a mid week escape & an escape it was. Upgraded to 9th floor Superior King with sweeping views looking SW across suburban Melbourne, the city & the Bay. Very luxurious & service left nothing to be desired. Parking is secure & very convenient. The 24 level bar is amazing & dining in the restaurant was great with spectacular food.
