The hotel was stunning, the room was lovely, the staff were good, the breakfast was amazing, the location was spot on, but I ended up being charged for parking when I simply collected my wife. Had I know I was going to be charged I would have parked at chadstone for free. What was even more disappointing is that I made a complaint on the 26th January and I have still not received a response!!!!!

In general the experience was of to a standard experienced in similar hotels. The staff were friendly and professional and the physical environment was nice. The lack of in room entertainment was surprising and disappointing, to be advised we needed to access to hotel internet and use our own netflix in order to be able to watch something other that free to air TV was a shock and something well below the standard we expected. Bring your own in room entertainment...just ridiculous for a hotel experience like what was expected. In regards to parking we were told due to covid there was no valet therefore just park wherever you like. So we parked our car as close to the entrance as possible, in the adjoining car park. There were no signs stating this car park would be locked off during the night and not re-opened until 10am the sunday morning. We stayed at the hotel primarily as we had to be somewhere early on Sunday morning. We left and got in our car and then could not get out of the car park as it was chained closed. We ran back to reception and they simply said you have to ring the phone number on the chain! We did this then waited 10 minutes for the chadstone security to wonder over and let us out. In the meantime we rang the hotel to ask if they could speed the process up and we were told we should have parked in the hotel parking!! Nobody mentioned hotel parking when we checked in. We were then running late for our engagement on sunday morning. To be honest that aspect of the stay was terrible and a level of failure in regards to customer service and communication that we have not experienced anywhere else in all our travels. We reside in regional Victoria and regularly stay in the city of Melbourne. We decided to try the Chadstone hotel as another option rather than going into the city and would not likely do so again based on this experience.

The information provided regarding the temporary suspension of Valet Parking is correct however we do have a $25 per day option for self parking. great convenient location for a big shopping spree. Away from the city but also not too far. Great food options in the vicinity. Rooms are well thought, however decor could be uplifted somewhat. Room amenities were decent. Check in was slow, but expected with current limitations.

I had to isolate in the hotel until a negative test result came through as I had travelled to Sydney. I was upfront in informing the hotel of the situation. The hotel seemed unsure what to do with me but told me that I was not allowed to leave the room so they would deliver supplies in the form of sheets and toiletries. I was told that I was unable to receive room service despite leaving a $500 cash bond. At 3pm, having had nothing to eat that day, I call reception to enquire if there was any way to get food but no answer despite 4-5 attempts. I tried to call the restaurant and they said they would get back to me but never replied. My negative result came through at midnight but I had no option of food despite multiple calls. I understand that COVID has taken a significant toll on your industry and I'm truly sorry, perhaps I should've been better prepared but I booked your hotel for the main reason that it had room service. I was in Chadstone for urgent healthcare employment travel and it was made somewhat difficult with no food on top of isolation. I'm just grateful I received my negative result with 12 hours '

Very happy with all the staff who were extremely polite, efficient and very helpful in every way. It was great that the parking cost was covered and we were in a separate car park, very important at Chadstone, allowing us to come and go as we liked. Sadly, I had to go and purchase a smaller pillow as the pillows were all huge. Great for laying back on but too big for me to sleep on. Hubby was fine. I requested a smaller pillow and a Staff member gave me a V pillow but I found all so new and firm they were all too high/big for me and I had a poor sleep the first night and a stiff neck by morning. Enjoyed our daily breakfasts but like other patrons who spoke to us, disappointed it wasn’t buffet service, though totally understand this was due to covid restrictions and not the Hotel. Will be telling friends/family and those visiting our state, that they should stay at the lovely Chadstone Hotel. We live in Hoppers Crossing and decided to try you as we like Sofitel Hotels. Best wishes to all.

Family shopping trip. The only problem is you need to FIX the pool, you cant have a cold water swimming pool, and when the spa is broken I would highly recommend getting that fixed straight away.

The stay was very average. We think the service was lacking in many ways. There were no staff around most of the time as we were in and out of the hotel numerous times. Many times during the day, there was no staff presence at the front desk. We also noticed that there was no concierge except for the time when we checked in. We never ever saw a concierge again. We noticed another hotel guest having to load and push luggage on the big hotel trolley. The two staff members who we encountered (one possibly from the restaurant) were not friendly and did not bother to greet us. Disappointed by the overall lack of service and warmth from the hotel.

Generally ok but not great compared to overseas hotels of same price range Breakfast unexciting and limited. Maybe due to Covid Even though booked time in pool it was packed and very noisy when we arrived at our allocated time. The spa was totally being used by one large family group who were very loud and totally monopolising the spa pool and was intimidating for my granddaughter so she didn’t use it. Recommend providing bath robe and slippers in rooms.
