Well located

We stayed for a week for a group reunion. The location is good, within walking distance to Cavill Avenue, the tram stops directly out the front of the hotel. The pool area was nice, plenty of seating, bbqs etc. I was dissatisfied about initially having to pay $20 a day for parking considering we were booked in with 10 other couples for a week. We eventually got our parking included. Our 2 bedroom apartment was roomy, although the walls & ceiling needed replastering & repainting due to damage on the walls and mould on the ceiling. The carpet was dirty and had been patched in numerous areas. The bathrooms needed renovating and a good clean. We had to beg for pool towels which should be complimentary. The front desk staff weren’t friendly and also hard to understand due to their accents.

Good stay, unimpressive service.

While the venue was great for our stay I was unimpressed by the service provided. At checkin it was clear that our booking had been made in the wrong name. I had booked by email for a corporate booking yet the booking was in another persons name that was similar to mine so checkin took a long time to get sorted. On the first morning of our stay my wife was sitting at the dining table in our room, holding our young baby and the dining chair completely fell apart under my wife causing her to fall back and hit her head on the coffee table. When we reported this to reception they said “oh I’ll let maintenance know”. We felt that was a less than adequate response. We raised it again the next morning at checkout as nothing was done at all about the broken chair that remained in our room for the duration of our stay and was told that they would tell maintenance again. There was no concern for our safety or wellbeing.

Disappointed

70% of windows leaked which was understandable with the weather. But we also had 60-70 litres come thru the ceiling which it looked like it had done so before as all the paint was flaked off that area and when mentioned to reception was told nothing can be done about it not even give more towels and buckets or rebate or credit for the future. Spent most of the time keeping this leak from flooding the place.
