Just a very tired old room

Still quite a nice hotel but it is looking a little tired in places. However, with the light rail (tram) on your doorstep it really is fantastic place to stay to go out and explore Surfers Paradise / Gold Coast

It was a lovely hotel with cool amenities but it was like staying at your grandparents, nice but dont touch or very strick rules surrounding things. Don't expect the hotel reception staff to be overly friendly either, felt like we were being a pain asking them anything hotel related. So in summary don't expect too much and you wont be disappointed. Also make sure you read all the extra things they may charge you for that other hotel offer in their packages

Absolutely loved the facilities - mainly the pools - esp for the kids. Lifts were generally great too - not too many large hotels have lifts working as quickly as the ones at Mantra which was a little thing but something noticable and usually taken for granted. Didn't realise that there was no restaurant for dinners / room service and didn't realise that the rooms weren't serviced. They're my only negatives but that's my fault as I just assumed and didn't research well enough. Having said that, we'll definately be back.
