Comfortable, only issue was the dryer was clogged up with lint, I tried to clean it with the vacuum which improved it slightly but still not the best. Great facilities, clean and tidy

This was my fourth time staying at Beachpoint over the past 15 years. Overall a good experience, though the rooms are looking very old and tired and I must say, rather dirty, and the showers rather mouldy. I feel that a makeover is desperately required. My one major complaint, which I gave to Reception in writing, was our check in process. We were stuck in traffic and arrived at 5.25pm. Nobody called to see where we were and to advise us of the late check-in process. On arrival at the closed boom gate, we rang Beachpoint's main number three times, got to speak to someone each time but got cut off each time. We then pressed the intercom at the front door several times, no answer. We then rang the phone number listed at the front door and, after three attempts, finally got to speak to someone who talked us through the after hours process.This whole episode took 20 minutes and we were very flustered, annoyed and disappointed with this lack of service.

Despite of its good location and friendly staff, the accomodation is outdated and needs more attention on maintenance and cleaning. The unit that we slept for 3 nights were dusty, carpet and sofa extremely stained and the main bathroom had a strong smell off cigarette - not sure if the previous guest smoked there inside of if the smell was coming from the ventilation system.
