The apartment itself was very spacious and bright, and having a full kitchen and laundry was highly convenient. The location is excellent—just across the road from a beautiful, patrolled part of the beach, with a few restaurants and a convenience shop close by. Public transport is also very accessible. The tram is only a few minutes' walk away, which takes you up and down the Gold Coast and links to the train for Brisbane. Regarding the facilities, the indoor pool is on the smaller side but was slightly heated. The outdoor pool area surrounded by the garden looked nice, though it was too cold for us to use during this time of year. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall, a functional and well-located base for the budget conscious holiday maker. The foyer and reception area has a strange smell (like a toilet) but luckily this smell wasn’t in the rooms. You have to pay $3 per towel if you want fresh towels after you use your first towel. We just washed and dried ours as you have a laundry in the apartment. Sliding door to balcony wouldn’t lock. Spare blanket in the cupboard needed a wash.
